Transform Burien Our History:
Local Christian pastors put aside minor theological differences to gather and pray for Burien and each other.

Transform is a Christ-centered outreach ministry designed to help our neighbors in need by providing basic necessities, friendship, encouragement, hope and prayer. During their prayers, Jesus impressed on them to take care of the poor and suffering in practical and tangible ways as a united front of Christian churches in Burien. Now, 24 years later, we are still praying together and working in uni

ty as one church in Burien for those in need. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our Impact:
Transform’s outreach center exists to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through word and action. We host many services that help those experiencing homelessness and poverty to meet their basic needs. In 2023, we served over 16,500 meals in the cafeteria and over 3,000 sack lunches. We provided over 6,200 trips to food bank and 4,700 trips to our clothing bank. Other services include in 2023, but are not limited to, are Tuesday and Fridays bible studies, curbside produce boxes, weekly laundry services, back-to-school supplies, Thanksgiving meal packages, and Christmas gift bags and boxes. Our volunteers donated more than 16,500 hours of their time to make this possible. 🍗❤️ Love, Partnership & Fried Chicken! ❤️🍗

We are so grateful for our friends at Glen Acres Church of Christ and the incredible love they continue to show our community! This team knows how to knock it out of the park, and last Sunday, they brought one of our people’s favorites: FRIED CHICKEN! 🙌🍗 Beyond the delicious meals, what means the most is the heart behind them. Their willingness to serve, connect, encourage, and show up for our neighbors is such a beautiful example of what partnership looks like.

This month’s calendar includes our weekly services along with free haircuts, health insurance assistance, and support for our veteran community. We’re here to provide community, connection, and care. ❤️

📸 We were having such a great time at Transform on Sunday that we only took ONE photo! 😂 And honestly, that’s okay, because we were too busy connecting and sharing life together! ❤️

We are beyond grateful for the love and partnership of our friends at Highline Christian Church! 🙌 Their faithful dedication to our meal service helps provide hundreds of meals each month to our neighbors in need. 🍽️

But it’s about more than just good food. Their volunteers and ongoing support, working alongside our Transform team and volunteers, help make it possible for us to remain a place where our neighbors can find love, community, and hope. ❤️🤝🙏

💙 Celebrating Our Amazing Transform Volunteers! 💙

Last Saturday, we had the opportunity to celebrate some of the incredible people who make Transform possible at our Volunteer Appreciation Picnic! 🥳🍔🌳

While many of our volunteers weren’t able to join us, those who came enjoyed a wonderful time of food, fellowship, and simply connecting with one another outside the walls of Transform. It was a special reminder that what we’re building together is about so much more than the services we provide. ❤️

Our volunteers are truly TOP-NOTCH! 🙌 They are essential to the day-to-day work of Transform and play a vital role in making our food bank, clothing bank, meals, resource services, and so much more possible.

But perhaps most importantly, our volunteers help make Transform a family and a community; a place where people can serve, encourage one another, build relationships, and extend that same sense of belonging to those we serve. 🤝💙

A HUGE thank-you to John Knox Presbyterian Church Seattle for spending the afternoon grilling up bacon cheeseburgers and serving our Transform family a true summer traditional feast! 🍔🌭☀️

Your team did a fabulous job creating such a warm, welcoming, and joyful community for everyone to enjoy. While the BBQ was cooking, our Food Bank and Clothing Bank were also busy making sure families and individuals could take home groceries and clothing.

It was a beautiful picture of what happens when people come together to care for their neighbors. ❤️

We are so grateful for all the love, care, time, and generosity that we get to share with our community every week. Thank you, John Knox, and thank you to everyone who helps make Transform something special!
