Seattle Somali Week 2026 is coming and we cannot wait!

Our soccer tournament kicks off August 5th and runs through August 15th, building all week toward one final match on Championship Day.

Friday, August 14, join us for the Community Festival. Free and open to all, 2 to 9pm at Highline Memorial Stadium. Come play, shop, eat, connect, and belong.

Saturday, August 15th, it all comes down to this.
Come cheer on your team and watch the tournament crown a winner.

For South King County's immigrant, refugee, and multilingual families, accessible and culturally responsive care is rare, and when it exists, it's often split across different doors.

That's why we built it all under one roof: early learning and behavioral health support together, in the same place, from people families already trust.

This week, we were grateful to give King County Executive Girmay Zahilay a guided tour of that model in action at our Center for Learning and Healing in Tukwila, and to talk through what it will take to bring it to more families across the county.

We are so thrilled to have welcomed State Senator Claire Wilson to Yo Soy Unico Federal Way.

Maria Corbin walked her through the center she's built as a second home for families, one where Spanish-speaking families are seen and supported.

The conversation turned to what's next: expanding ECEAP, empowering providers with the support they need, and making sure families have real access to the programs meant for them.

Deep gratitude to Maria Corbin and Yo Soy Unico for opening their doors, and to Senator Claire Wilson for taking the time to show up and listen.
