Kinnaly Lao Traditional Music & Dance Troupe Dedicated to Lao youth, culture & community since 2002! Kinnaly is a Laotian youth performing arts program of POM Foundation based in Seattle.

Established in 2002, Kinnaly holds Lao traditional music, dance, and cultural classes in support of their mission to preserve, promote, and educate on Laotian cultural art which has been slowly disappearing since the Vietnam War Era. The program is 100% volunteer based. The volunteers dedicate their time and energy to provide an enriching cultural arts program. Kinnaly is a program of Pom Foundati

on, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit. Kinnaly was founded in 2002 by the late Pom Outama Khampradith and is now managed by three of her first dance students. Over the years, Kinnaly has grown tremendously and today is comprised of over 50 students. The Kinnaly program continues to carry on their founder's legacy and focuses on fostering a community that is safe for youth so that they can continue to preserve, foster, transmit and educate about Lao cultural arts.

After much reflection, our team has made the intentional decision to take a one-year hiatus. We know that’s big news and we want you to hear it directly from us.

This pause is purposeful. We are stepping back so we can come back stronger, with a revamped program that better serves our students, instructors, and community.

We are not going away. 💛

Kinnaly exists because of you; your children, your trust, and your belief in keeping Lao culture alive and thriving. That mission has not changed, and it never will.

What we’ve built together is something truly special, and we do not take your support lightly. This is not an ending. It is a breath before something even better.

Thank you for your continued love and support of Kinnaly and the POM Foundation. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next. Please stay tuned for updates over the next year!
