The Bridges Community Theatre is designed for students who want more than just a performance experience. Through professional-level instruction and meaningful mentorship with a Christian worldview, participants develop artistic excellence, confidence, leadership and communication skills, and character. This program is proud to partner with Young Audiences of Northeast Texas - Regional affiliate of the nation’s oldest and largest Arts in Education learning network, and Award-winning director Glenn Ballard - Bringing 27 years of experience as one of the most respected theatre educators and accomplished directors in East Texas. Together, we will bring exceptional educational opportunities, artistic leadership, and real-world theatre experience to students and families.

Comprehensive Theatre Training - Participants receive hands-on instruction in every aspect of theatrical production, including:
Acting & Character Development * Voice & Speech * Costumes & Makeup * Movement & Stage Presence * Scenic Design & Construction * Lighting & Sound Design * Audition Techniques * Stage Management * Props
Students gain experience both onstage and behind the scenes, developing a complete understanding of the theatrical process.
Who Can Participate? - The program focus is students in Grades 6–12, but College Students and Adult Learners and Community Members interested in theatre training and production are also welcome and encouraged to join us.
Program Goals

✔ Prepare students for future opportunities in theatre, ministry, education, and beyond
Our plan at present is to schedule our first public performances on October 22-25. Auditions for the first show will be held in early September after school starts and people know more about what their personal schedules will look like. Rehearsals will generally be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Students in grades 6-12, college students, and interested adults are all welcome to participate.
Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities will be available.
The Bridges Community Ministries Board of Directors, the Young Audiences Board of Directors, and the Bridges Community Theatre Advisory Board are all excited about this new venture and are committed to its success and future growth in this community.
