🎨At Arts for Learning WNY, we are proud to serve all eight counties of Western New York!

While our mission of inspiring creativity, expanding learning, and strengthening community through the arts remains the same for every part of the region, our approach for meeting these goals changes to meet the specific needs of every community we impact.

In Wyoming County, regular access to workshops and performances develops as the result of long-term partnerships, community trust, and sustained investment from funders who understand what true access requires. Among such funders, the Conable Family Foundation Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo plays an important role in supporting Arts for Learning WNY’s work across Wyoming County.

Since 2019, Arts for Learning WNY has had the privilege of partnering with Letchworth Central School District to bring meaningful arts experiences to students and teachers. What began as a series of individual opportunities has grown into something much deeper: a sustained, school-wide commitment to arts integration.

Between involvement in our Whole School Partnership program (in which we engage with every student grade 7-12 through ELA classrooms), regular workshops with Arts for Learning Teaching Artist and community partners, and high-level professional development opportunities for educators, Letchworth makes a point to center arts integration in the district.

In the words of Allison Rabent, Arts for Learning’s Director of Programs: “There’s a real openness at Letchworth…it’s not treated as an add-on, but as a meaningful part of how teaching and learning happen across classrooms.”
