AAAANNNDDDD that’s a wrap on the third annual turkey bowl and tailgate!!!
nothing but hot dogs, lots of football,games, and good vibes with this great group last week! lead by the core leadership team, we were reminded that not everything will always be perfect and maybe it won’t always go as planned. and that’s okay! obstacles are a part of life and as long as we lean on and trust God we will be okay! stay tuned for more info on our next event 🥁🥁🥁WHITE ELEPHANT CHRISTMAS PARTY 12/14

the third annual turkey bowl and tailgate is coming up on saturday November 8th so sign up now!! 🦃🏈🍽️

Reminder that when you come dressed for the weather to also bring a donation of canned/nonperishable food item or a clean clothing donation 🚨🚨🚨

Again, Saturday November 8th is when it will all go down. Teams will be made when you arrive at 10 am to St. John Lutheran Church 6540 Main St. Williamsville. ⏰📍

Games, Games, Games Galore!

Our last week of Day Camp was gloriousss!

Together, we played our way through a series of both new and classic games, but not for the sake of winning or losing. It was more than that. We played because that's what kids do best.

This week we witnessed so much creativity and fun brought to you by the campers and junior staff.

Sure the world's of Roblox, Fortnite, Minecraft, and Mario are cool, but the imagination that everyone brought to this week was pit of this world.

It wasn't really about learning the rules to games, but rather, the rules of life brought to us through the Gospel.

We learned about what real victory looks like.
How uniqueness & creativity matter.
The importance of teamwork and collaboration.
What perseverance is all about.
Ultimately, how faith plays a role in our game of life.

Thank you to the campers.
Thank you to the staff.
And thank you to everyone who helped may 3 weeks of Day Camp happen this summer! ❤️

Day Camp Wonder Kingdom was MAGICAL
🪄

We explored so many amazing stories this week with our campers.

With Ariel and Jonah, we learned about Trust, Under the Sea.🐚

On Magic Carpets, we flew to the "Whole New World" Jesus invites us to.🗺

With many parts of one body and nearly 101 Dalmations, we talked about Teamwork.🐾

We practiced Forgivness and Letting it Go with Frozen. ❄️

And we helped nature, practicing caring for and creating a bit ourselves with the help of Moana and the Creation story.🏞

Overall, there were so many more stories made, and we know from all the laughter, games, and songs that the campers and staff had an amazing week at camp!

I GOT IT!

That's in many ways the lived out motto of the Leadership Team. All year, they stepped up to plan, promote, and lead awesome events and gatherings with Lutheran Youth.

So many new, fun, creative games.
So many silly and exciting themes.
So many meaningful service projects, worships, and devotions.

So many memories made because they took the time to share their hearts, time, and energy with us all.

Lutheran Youth is made by the youth and for the youth. This post is a just a tiny thank you for the amazing work Hannah, Olivia, Emily, Sky, Lilly, Zoey, Alexis, Tyler, Ellie, Molly, Anna, Alexei, and Liam contributed to this year.

A special shout-out to our seniors. We are so excited to see how they continue to grow and take their amazing character and leadership from this community to new ones ❤️

A peak behind the scenes of Day Camp this summer!

LY in partnership with WNY Lutheran churches and community are running 4 WILD weeks of Day Camp for kids entering K - finishing 5th grade.

Last Sunday, we held staff training at St. John Lutheran in Williamsville. This new pavilion, giant field, and glimpse of games are just some of the awesome things going on at Day Camp.

With 2 weeks at the start of summer and 2 weeks at the end, our camp is specifically designed to provide a fun and faith centered childcare option for families and friends.

With new themes, games, and activities each week, you can sign up to take advantage of multi-week discounts as your kids enjoy hearing new messages, playing new games, and meeting new people each week!

Gravity has a funny way of pulling things together...

Whether it be light into a black hole or people from different walks of life, God draws us closer together and closer to him in 100 billion different ways.

May you look to the stars with wonder and see that there is a God that has a way of making the unimaginable visible.

May you walk into darkness and know that there is a light and a love burning inside you that is inescapable.

This past Friday youth from across WNY were pulled together for a night of “inescapable” fun! The volleyball marathon saw 7 teams battle it out in a round-robin tournament that lasted until 5:30 am!

And may you look into the eyes of both strangers and friends and see a glimpse of something familiar. A glimpse of a God that knows no boundaries...

To infinity and beyond! 🚀
