I'm out for this year (upcoming shoulder surgery but....these types of dates come up every year about this time.

We have just opened a follow-up lottery for 2026 launch dates at the weighted lottery website (https://grcariverpermits.nps.gov). The lottery will accept applications until Thu, June 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM (noon) Mountain Standard Time. The available launch dates are:

Standard Size Trips (1 - 16 people):
Jul 2026: 1,2,10,15,26
Aug 2026: 4,11,12,27
Oct 2026: 2,14

Small Size Trips (1 - 8 people):
Jun 2026: 23
Jul 2026: 3,11,20,23,24,27
Aug 2026: 4,10,14,30

Local organizations AHRA and GARNA will host the annual Cleanup-Greenup event May 16 in Salida. Volunteers are needed.
