Rotary Club Seeks New Members!

This local service club is part of Rotary International with clubs in over 200 counties and best-known for it's work to eradicate polio globally. Locally, Rotary implements the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, supports the Christian Mission, provides illustrated dictionaries to third graders, provides college scholarships and sponsors events like the Great Colorado vs Texas Tomato War!

If you missed all the fun at The Great State Tomato War last weekend, don't worry - you can still commemorate the First Annual Buena Vista Tomato War by picking up a t-shirt at Souled Out T-Shirts!!

This was the first reiteration of the event here in BV and we will be looking forward to enjoying this tradition for years to come!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Tomato War at The Meadows last weekend! It was an amazing event full of fun and tomato tossing, plus we were able to raise close to $10,000 for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

Whether you were a sponsor, volunteer, spectator, or participant - THANK YOU! We couldn't have done it without you!

We are already looking forward to next year!

It was such an honor to be a part of Tuesday's presentation for newest vehicle addition to the Chaffee County Fire Protection District's fleet.

The newest addition to Chaffee County Fire Protection District’s fleet was officially presented Tuesday. The utility task vehicle is outfitted with a 60-gallon water tank, fire-retardant foam and a pump.

Thank you to Push & Pull for hosting Rotary and our guests last. The food, drinks and atmosphere were amazing. We appreciate your hospitality and can’t wait to be back!

We pride ourselves on beverages that are good and simple, served up quickly—and with a smile. Coffee for coffee lovers, beer for beer lovers and cocktails befitting our Buena Vista location.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make the VITA Tax Preparation a success this year!

215 returns were prepared and helped the following people in our community:

- 40% of returns were for retirees – teachers, correctional officers, other member of the community

- 35% of returns were for essential workers in our community: Teachers, school bus drivers, custodians, grocery workers, restaurant and other hospitality workers, caregivers, vet techs, and ski area workers.

-The remaining 25% were office workers and self employed workers such as graphic designers, construction, and air bnb cleaners.

This is one of our many programs that we love to support so we can continue to serve members of our community!

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
