On August 8, 2026, @ 3pm firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, military members, veterans, families, and community supporters from across Arkansas will gather at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock for the 2026 HERO 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb & Walk.

This isn't a race.

This isn't a competition.

This is a promise that we will NEVER FORGET.

Together, we will honor the 343 FDNY firefighters, first responders, service members, and innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001. Every stair climbed and every step taken represents the courage, sacrifice, and selfless service displayed on one of America's darkest days.

Twenty-five years later, their legacy still calls us to remember.

Whether you're a firefighter climbing in gear, a veteran honoring fallen heroes, a family walking in remembrance, or a community supporter standing beside those who serve, your presence matters.

You can meet virtually in small groups with other Fire Hero Families to share stories, struggles, and ideas. This is an informal gathering, just for family members; there will be no NFFF staff or professional facilitators. To sign up for a group, please E-mail Erin by the Sunday before group.
