Join us at The Kimbell on October 24th for an intimate evening of music and storytelling.

Texas country and folk artist Gabe Wootton brings honest storytelling, wry humor, and captivating narratives to the stage. He’ll be sharing the room with Nashville master songwriter Jeff Black, whose incredible catalog has been recorded by legends like Alison Krauss, Waylon Jennings, and Blackhawk.

Join us at The Kimbell on October 24th for a live song swap with Gabe Wootton and Jeff Black.

Gabe brings the Texas country and folk tradition to life with songs full of honest storytelling, wry humor, and the kind of stories that make you lean in between songs. Jeff is a master songwriter out of Nashville whose work has been recorded by Alison Krauss, Waylon Jennings, Blackhawk, and many others. Together, they’ll trade songs and stories in a room made for listening. Come hear two master songwriters share their music with each other and with us.

Proud to announce that I’ll be playing The Kimbell on Saturday, October 24th, with one of the most complete songwriters I know, Jeff Black .

A bit of a doubly auspicious homecoming, for me- I cut my songwriting teeth between downtown Bryan and Northgate, and first heard Jeff on Northgate and second, soon after, in Bryan.

Jeff’s songs have been recorded by Waylon Jennings, Alison Krauss, Sam Bush, Blackhawk, Jo-El Sonnier and more.

I can throw down a half dozen Operstenies at Margie’s, and once had a command performance in an ENTO 201 class with a song about lice.

Come hear some wonderful songs in a beautiful room
