Registration is now officially open for the 2026 Georgia Records Association Conference, taking place this September in beautiful Savannah, Georgia!

Please note that only 150 conference slots are available, so we strongly encourage you to register early to secure your spot.

The GRA Board just wrapped up our monthly meeting, and there’s a lot to be excited about!

We’re putting the final touches on what’s shaping up to be an incredible conference in Savannah—this is one you won’t want to miss. At the same time, we’re actively working to revamp our organization to make it more engaging, responsive, and member-focused.

A federal judge has sanctioned the Georgia Department of Corrections for destroying critical video evidence. The court found that the department failed to preserve footage of an incident despite being notified of its importance, allowing it to be overwritten. The judge determined this constituted bad faith and ruled that a jury will be instructed to assume the missing video contained evidence unfavorable to the defense.
