An Active Participant is a registered team member who has raised money and has donations credited to them on the official Walk website.

Part of our mission is to enrich the lives of families dealing with dementia. That means bringing smiles and laughter (and a bit of exercise) into their lives. How? This week it was with an indoor snowball fight with a 110° heat index outside! So much fun!!

The Golden Isles Alzheimer’s Walk is more than a walk—it’s a fundraiser with a purpose! 💜

High Temperature warnings are in effect every day. Older adults, especially those with dementia, may not know how to handle the heat. They may not know how to dress appropriately. Please check on your elderly neighbors! And remember, cars sitting in the sun become dangerously hot very quickly. Do not leave children or elderly loved ones in the car.
