Brethren:

The funeral for Worshipful Brother Roger Tinkham will be this Saturday at the First Methodist Church in Brunswick. Brethren should arrive no later than 10:30, visitation begins at 10:00 with services at 11:00. Masonic Rites will be administered. Dress accordingly.

Roger is a long time member of Ocean Lodge and he deserves a great turnout!!

80 years ago today, June 5, 1944, my parents, Bob and Norma Fahs, were married at the Glynn County Courthouse in Brunswick, Georgia. It had been "love at first sight" for Dad - he famously told his buddy, "I'm going to marry that girl!"

Mom and Dad made a great couple; they were loved and admired by all who know them. From St. Simons Island, Georgia, to Hawai'i, to York, Pennsylvania (where I was born), to Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and around and about until returning to St. Simons in retirement. They enjoyed 57 years together until Dad passed away in 2001.

Still fondly remembered, we miss them all the time.

Here we see the Grand Master of Masonry in Georgia, M.W. Brother Ben W. Polston, with our two honorees. Wearing his new 75-year apron, presented by the Grand Lodge, is our Brother Paul M. Varnedoe; in his 70- year apron, presented b y Ocean Lodge No. 214 F.&A.M. is our good Brother W. Laverne Strickland.
