Dylan Robert Stine Obituary
Dylan Stine, age 55 of Long Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at CentraCare Hospital in Long Prairie.

A memorial service will be held at the Iten Funeral Home chapel on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Dylan Robert Stine passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in Long Prairie, Minnesota, at the CentraCare hospital, due to pneumonia. He was with family, friends, and devoted caregivers. Dylan was born on May 5, 1971, in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

Although Dylan was born with Down syndrome, he lived a rich, active life filled with love and adventure. He went on many canoeing and backpacking trips with his family, graduated from Cooper High School in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, and worked for two decades at Target in downtown Minneapolis.

As a child, Dylan spent summers with his sister and grandparents in Indiana, where he helped clear the landscaping for his grandparents’ newly built “house in the woods.” Dylan loved to be active and enjoyed any kind of work, hauling rocks, shoveling his neighbors’ driveways, or mowing the lawn. He was an excellent frisbee player and would practice for hours in the back yard, taking breaks from time to time to ride his bike to the store to buy soda pop.

Everywhere he went, Dylan made friends. With his cheerful disposition and winning smile, he charmed everyone he met. While attending Sandburg Junior High in Golden Valley, he ran with the cross country team and was profiled in KARE11’s PM Magazine. He loved music, especially The Monkees, and he loved to draw. Dylan always knew the right thing to say in any situation: with a gentle pat on your shoulder, he would always tell you, “It’s okay.”

Dylan is survived by his loving parents, Michael W. and Sharon Sue Stine, his sister, Bronwen Stine, and his brother, Evan Stine, as well as his nieces, Cyd and Ivy Bloomfield, and his brother-in-law, James Bloomfield. He will be greatly missed by his dear friends at Meridian House and by many others in the Long Prairie community.
