🌍💕 CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD 2026! 👑✨

HER VOICE. HER POWER. HER FUTURE! 🎤💖

What a wonderful celebration of International Day of the Girl Child in collaboration with the South Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. ❤️🤍 and our valued partner, Unmute Yourself!

The UNA-USA Broward County Chapter was proudly represented by our dynamic Vice President, Dr. Joanette Brooks George, and our dedicated Human Rights Chair, Dr. Rodney Polite, who joined this meaningful celebration of girls’ empowerment, equality, and leadership.

As Chapter President, I am incredibly proud of their representation and continued commitment to advancing our mission of advocacy, education, and community engagement.

🌎 This celebration highlighted United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5): Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls, reminding us that every girl deserves the opportunity to be heard, supported, educated, and empowered to reach her full potential.

✨ When we empower a girl’s voice, we strengthen her confidence. When we invest in her future, we transform generations.

A heartfelt thank you to the phenomenal women of South Delta, our partner Unmute Yourself, and everyone who contributed to making this celebration meaningful and impactful.

Special appreciation to Dr. Joanette Brooks George and Dr. Rodney Polite for their leadership, dedication, and service in representing UNA-USA Broward County Chapter! 👏🏽💙

👑 To every young girl: Dream boldly. Speak confidently. Lead courageously. Never underestimate the power of your voice!

Together, we continue advancing gender equality, amplifying young voices, and building a future where every girl can thrive.

💕 EMPOWER HER. AMPLIFY HER. CELEBRATE HER!

Today we stand for freedom, dignity, and hope.

Human trafficking is not just happening somewhere else—it is happening in our communities. Every person deserves to live free from exploitation, coercion, and abuse.

On this World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, let’s educate ourselves, speak up for those whose voices have been silenced, and support organizations working to prevent trafficking and protect survivors.

Awareness saves lives. Action changes lives. Together, we can help end human trafficking.
