Trees of Hope

Trees of Hope We're dedicated to protecting the future and healing the past. Founded by a survivor, Trees of Hope began with the goal to help women heal from sexual abuse.

By reaching out to the community, we help empower parents to prevent sexual abuse and stand by survivors as they heal. In 2006, we began that journey in a living room with just five women. Over the years, we have significantly expanded with numerous healing groups for women, as well as added various programs that serve men, teen girls and teen boys. Creating these diversified programs has enabled

us to serve more people than ever before. Trees of Hope has reached over 5,500 individuals through our prevention and healing programs. Studies show that the majority of victims were abused by someone they knew, loved and trusted. Trees of Hope fights this silent epidemic by following a two-fold organizational model, composed of both prevention and healing. For prevention, we work to protect future generations through age-appropriate educational curriculum, as well as conducting prevention workshops for adults and caregivers. In these workshops, participants gain crucial knowledge about sexual abuse including looking at the different ways it can happen, identifying the grooming process, reviewing various symptoms of abuse, analyzing the link between sexual abuse and po*******hy, learning how to initiate honest conversations with children, and how to support a victim through recovery. In our healing programs, we aim to walk alongside those affected by sexual abuse by offering healing support groups, individual studies and online studies. We feel there should be no hurdle or reason a victim can’t find healing through one of our unique curriculums that are designed for specific needs, genders and ages.

Over the last two gatherings at The Watering, we’ve been reflecting on two simple but powerful questions.
Where are we drawing from?
And who does God say we are?

In our first conversation, we looked at the Samaritan woman and the reality that many of us keep returning to wells that were never meant to satisfy us—approval, success, being needed, or simply trying to hold everything together.

Then in our most recent gathering, we turned to Psalm 139 and were reminded of something deeper: before the world had anything to say about us, God had already spoken.
We are known by Him.

We were intentionally woven together.
And our lives were already written in His hands.

We’ve shared reflections from both of these devotionals on the blog for anyone who wants to revisit them or who couldn’t join us that morning.

Psalm 139 reminds us that our identity was written by God before we were born. A reflection from Trees of Hope’s Watering gathering on being known, woven, and written by God.

The Watering is back.

Last month was special. The room was full, the conversations were honest, and there was a sweet sense of connection among the women who gathered.

We’re meeting again on Saturday, February 28 at 9:30 AM in the Community Room at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale.

The Watering is a monthly gathering for women who desire meaningful community. It is women for women. Real conversation. Encouragement. Prayer. Connection.

This time, we will be providing food, so please register by Wednesday so we can prepare accordingly.

Bring a friend. Come as you are. We would love to see you there.

Healing is hard—but it’s holy. In this episode, we talk about the truth that there is no becoming more like Christ without walking through suffering. But when you choose to press in and do the work, something powerful happens: your worth is reclaimed, your identity is restored, and you come out stronger, more whole, and more like Him.

Let’s break the myth that clothing causes assault.
It’s a cultural lie that shifts blame and silences survivors—and it needs to end.

We’re challenging that narrative, speaking truth, and standing with those who’ve been told to stay quiet.

You are not too broken.
You are not too damaged.
You are not too messy.

Trauma changes the brain—but it does not change your worth.

Whatever was broken in you is not the same as who you are. You are still worthy. Still whole in God’s eyes. Still capable of healing, connection, and joy.
