This past Saturday, AAFE hosted a free bilingual seminar on Accessory Dwelling Units in partnership with us! 🏡

We are always happy to see these valuable housing resources shared with our community. The workshop gave NYC homeowners a great breakdown of what ADUs are, their potential benefits, and how to navigate the process of building a legal ADU.

This was so much more than a back-to-school event or a block party—it was a beautiful celebration of the heart and spirit of our community!

We packed the entire block with families, children, older adults, local organizations, and neighbors from all walks of life. From the adorable dog contest to the exciting tug-of-war, every smile, cheer, and shared moment reminded us how special our community truly is. It was wonderful to see different generations and cultures coming together as one neighborhood—laughing, celebrating, and creating memories together.

Our heartfelt thanks to CM Susan Zhuang and AM William Colton offices and all the incredible volunteers from different organizations who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make this day possible. This celebration showed us that when we come together, we are more than neighbors—we are one strong, caring, and united community! Homecrest Community Services is honored to work alongside Council Member Susan Zhuang’s office to bring this amazing event to our community.

Our dance group is officially moving on to the next stage and heading to the borough-wide finals for Talent is Timeless! We would love to pack the house with our supporters to cheer us on at BAM:

Today was the last day of our CMP X Homecrest Summer Chinese Language Program!

We are so proud of how much our students improved throughout the summer. They learned new words and characters, became more confident speaking Chinese, and can now even sing an entire song in Chinese!

A heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and hardworking students for making this summer program such a joyful and meaningful experience. We look forward to seeing them continue their Chinese language journey in the Fall!

Our talented Homecrest Dance Ensemble will take the stage to share a special cultural performance, and our team will also host an arts-and-crafts table with fun, creative activities for the community.

Another wonderful and successful food distribution at Homecrest Community Services!

A heartfelt thank-you to all the volunteers from NYC Department for the Aging, HEAT program and youth program for helping us serve older adults and other members of our community. Your time, energy, and teamwork made it all possible!
