Yesterday, Liberated Success had the honor of presenting at the United Federation of Teachers () Good Vibes Only Conference!
We are grateful for the opportunity to engage middle and high school students in an empowering conversation about the 7 essential executive functioning skills students need to successfully transition into high school, college, careers, and adulthood. From impulse control and emotional regulation to planning, organization, and task initiation, students explored how these skills impact everyday decision-making, leadership, and independence.
This session was especially meaningful because it was co-facilitated by Lana a Liberated Scholar who courageously shared personal stories from her own academic journey. Her honesty, growth, and reflections helped students see that executive functioning skills are not just âschool skillsâ, they are life skills that can be strengthened over time through self-awareness, support, and perseverance.
Together, we encouraged students to see themselves as the architects and leaders of their own lives, capable of making intentional choices, adapting to challenges, and building a future rooted in purpose and possibility.
Thank you again to the United Federation of Teachers for creating spaces where young people can feel seen, inspired, and empowered to grow.
