On Friday, May 15, Imani House hosted its Spring Talent Recital, showcasing the best of our After School Program at P.S. 282 in Park Slope. It was a wonderful celebration and a meaningful reminder of the importance of preserving programs like these to support our youth. Special thanks to our parents, students, school faculty, and Department of Youth and Community Development () for their sponsorship and support.

Imani House, Inc. celebrates its 30+ years of providing quality, affordable healthcare (through its Liberia based Imani House Clinic) to marginalized communities in Monrovia, Liberia. Honoring our moral and ethical mandate to provide affordable healthcare often supersedes the realities of raising funds and material support to sustain this effort. Our thanks goes to partners and staff in and out of Liberia. Today, December 12, is International Universal Health Coverage Day. It honors a UN resolution calling for all nations to provide for their citizens affordable, quality health care. Today, Imani House Clinic provided FREE blood glucose and pressure screenings to the general public. The average cost of clinic based blood glucose testing is $10.00 USD and seventy percent of Liberia’s populace can barely afford this cost. Imani House is committed to explore creative and innovative methods to honor our moral and ethical mandate to ensure that everyone can get the health services they need without financial hardship.
