Drum roll please! 🥁 We’re thrilled to announce Jessica Jones as our 2026 M³ Luminary Award recipient! 🎉 This unrestricted award of $5,000 honors members of the M³ community whose decades of fearless creativity and vision have helped transform the musical landscape.

💫 Originally from Berkeley, California, saxophonist Jessica Jones is best known for her eponymous Quartet, co-led with longtime collaborator and husband Tony Jones and featuring their original music.
Jones is an innovative jazz educator who works with children on oral tradition–based improvisation and composition through Jazz at Lincoln Center and others, and teaches at Bard College. She also founded and co-directs REVA, Inc., a creative arts nonprofit focused on community healing.
As a sideperson, she has performed with Joseph Jarman, Cecil Taylor, Don Cherry, and several Caribbean bands. She has also composed an opera, is a Jerome Hill Artist Fellow, and has received grants from JazzRoad and the National Endowment for the Arts.
