Happy Friday from all our children at GMCN Orphanage, Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria.

Their smiles remind us that hope grows when communities come together to care, support, and invest in the future of vulnerable children.

As we celebrate these precious moments, we thank everyone who continues to support NWAG's humanitarian efforts and help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of women, children, and families.

On May 9, 2026, members of the Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG) proudly volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, joining efforts to help sort, pack, and distribute food to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Community service is at the heart of who we are. While our work is often recognized through scholarships, outreach programs, and support for women and girls, we also believe in showing up where help is needed and lending a hand to strengthen the communities we call home.

Every box packed represented more than foodโ€”it represented care, dignity, and hope for families navigating difficult times.

We are grateful to the Atlanta Community Food Bank for the opportunity to serve alongside dedicated volunteers working toward a shared goal: ensuring that no one goes hungry.

Together, small acts of service can make a lasting difference.

NWAG is proud to have received the Award of Excellence from Eko Club Atlanta in recognition of over 25 years of dedication to humanitarian service, community support, and impactful partnerships.

This award is more than a plaque on a shelf. It is a reflection of every scholarship awarded, every outreach conducted, every woman empowered, and every life touched through the collective efforts of our members, partners, supporters, and volunteers.

For more than two decades, NWAG has remained committed to uplifting communities through education, healthcare initiatives, humanitarian assistance, and programs that create opportunities for women and young people.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Eko Club Atlanta for this recognition. We are honored to stand alongside organizations and individuals who are committed to making a difference.

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on the work ahead. There are still more students to support, more families to reach, and more communities to serve.

Here's to continuing a legacy of service, impact, and empowerment.

It's Friday and a good day to Celebrate the NWAG Sisters doing all the great work. ๐Ÿ’š

Behind every outreach that happens, there is a team that shows up, gives, and carries the weight quietly and consistently.

To the NWAG teams who make the work move, thank you for the long hours, the planning, the running around, the problem-solving, and the heart you bring into every outreach.

We see you. We value you. And weโ€™re grateful for you.

Kindly celebrate them in the comments.

At NWAG, we believe that meaningful change happens when organizations come together with a shared purpose.

That is why we are proud to partner with WOTCLEF (Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation), an organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable women and children, promoting education, combating human trafficking and child labour, and creating safer communities for all.

LThe classroom in this photo represents more than educationโ€”it represents hope, opportunity, awareness, and a future where every child can learn, grow, and thrive in a safe environment.
Through partnerships like this, we continue to support initiatives that empower women, protect children, and strengthen communities across Nigeria.

Together, we can create lasting impact.

SPOTLIGHT MONDAY

Meet Kola Dorathy Manaefia, one of the 100+ young women who received the NWAG Scholarship Award in 2025.

Her testimony is a reminder that behind every scholarship is a real student, a real dream, and a real story.

"The funds received from the scholarship really helped me with my living expenses and helped me ease into the school environment. Through the funds received from the NWAG scholarship, I was able to buy necessary books needed for school and also live more comfortably during the semester."

For Dorathy, the scholarship was more than financial support. It provided relief, stability, and the opportunity to focus on her education with greater confidence.

And she is just one of the many girls whose lives have been impacted through NWAG's commitment to education and empowerment.

As we prepare to award scholarships to another 100+ deserving Nigerian female undergraduate students this year, we are reminded that these opportunities are only possible because people choose to support the mission.

Every donation. Every raffle ticket purchased. Every act of support helps a young woman stay in school, purchase learning materials, reduce financial pressure, and continue pursuing her dreams.

When you support NWAG, you are not just funding a programโ€”you are investing in a future pharmacist, teacher, engineer, scientist, entrepreneur, or leader.

Your contribution may seem small, but for a student like Dorothy, it can make a world of difference.

๐Ÿ’š Support our mission by purchasing a raffle ticket or making a donation.
๐Ÿ’š Help us continue transforming lives through education.

HEALTH IS A HUMAN RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE.

Access to basic healthcare should never depend on a person's income, location, or circumstances. Yet, for many vulnerable individuals and families, even routine health checks remain out of reach.

That is why during NWAG Feed the Hungry, we go beyond providing food. We also create opportunities for beneficiaries to receive basic medical screenings and health checks, because true well-being includes both nourishment and healthcare.

A meal can ease hunger for a day, but health awareness and early detection can change lives.

At NWAG, we believe that caring for communities means addressing both immediate needs and long-term well-being. Through initiatives like Feed the Hungry, we continue to support healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities.

Together, we are feeding hope, promoting health, and making a differenceโ€”one life at a time.

๐Ÿ’š Together, We Achieve.
