Brookfield Soccer Club Welcomes Matthew Hoffman as Director of Coaching
Brookfield Soccer Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Matthew Hoffman as our new Director of Coaching, brought in through our partnership with AC Connecticut.
Matt brings more than 15 years of experience developing players across youth, high school, collegiate, and academy levels. Most recently, he spent 14 years as Head Premier & Travel Coach and Director of Youth Programs at CFC Ole in Fairfield, CT, where he led Fairfield Travel, Fairfield Premier, and Ole Premier teams, and directed youth soccer programming for the towns of Weston and Redding, overseeing curriculum, coaching staff, and seasonal operations.
Matt’s coaching career also includes stints as Head Coach for Youth Programs at New York City Football Club, where he led all youth camps, talent centers, and clinics; Head Premier Coach and Head Travel Coach at Beachside Soccer Club, working with the Beachside USSDA Academy and NYCFC Youth Affiliate teams; Assistant Coach for Men’s Soccer at the University of Bridgeport; and Head Coach of Boys Soccer at Masuk High School in Monroe, CT.
Beyond the sidelines, Matt founded the first-ever soccer program at Achievement First Elm City in New Haven, CT, bringing free soccer instruction to inner-city students, a reflection of his deep commitment to making the game accessible to every child.
A former NCAA Division I player at Jacksonville University and NCAA Division III player at Western Connecticut State University, with a professional trial with the Jacó Rays in Costa Rica’s Liga de Ascenso, Matt understands the pathway from youth development to the highest levels of the game. He holds USSF National C, D, and E coaching licenses and is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish, allowing him to connect with players and families from all backgrounds.
