ADOPTABLE — Meet this handsome boy 🖤
1-year-old, 35 lb. neutered Black Lab Retriever mix looking for his perfect adventure buddy.
This sweet guy is:
✔️ Potty trained
✔️ Loves to cuddle after a day of fun
✔️ Great with male dogs
✔️ Will do well with female dogs if given patience, slow introductions, and time to warm up
✔️ Good with cats — he’s curious and playful, so continued guidance and boundaries will help him succeed
✔️ Vocal and loves to tell you all about his day
✔️ Loves car rides but is still learning the rules of riding in the car
His story:
This boy was dumped and I found him in a Walmart parking lot. Since then, he’s been passed around between homes, so he’ll need time to fully settle in and understand that he finally has a landing pad. Even with everything he’s been through, he’s incredibly happy just being included in whatever you’re doing and wants nothing more than to be part of the family. He was great with my 2 pitbulls and my 2 cats.
His ideal home:
🏃 Active people who want a companion for hiking, running, biking, hunting, exploring, or outdoor adventures
🏡 Someone patient and committed to continuing his training, helping him build confidence and good manners, and willing to put in the time to help him succeed
🎾 A home that can provide play, exercise, and outlets for his energy — he would do best with a playful companion
He’s still young, eager to learn, and has that classic lab personality — affectionate, energetic, vocal, and happiest when he gets to be part of whatever you’re doing.

Hi! I'm Buster. I'm a Lab/Shepard mix and about 65 lbs. I'm a loving, low maintenance dog. I recently lost my owner when he passed away. I don't jump and I'm good with other dogs. I'm 8 years old and a good boy. I'm an outside dog who enjoys chasing a ball and laying in the sun and soaking up the rays. My vet was SAHO Owasso. I've been vaccinated, fixed and chipped. I get to spend the night inside sometimes if the weather is bad, but I like hanging out in the yard. I miss my owner and I'd like to find another home where I can make someone happy. It would be great if I had another dog to hang out with and trade stories about chasing rabbits and squirrels. I've never met a person I didn't like. Can you help this good boy find a good home?

YAY! LABS!!

If you guessed Labrador Retriever, you’re absolutely right! 🎉🐶

Few breeds are as beloved as the Labrador Retriever—and it’s easy to see why. Friendly, intelligent, and always ready for an adventure, Labs have been winning hearts for generations.

Despite their name, Labrador Retrievers actually originated in Newfoundland, Canada, where they worked alongside fishermen. Their job was to retrieve fish, nets, and ropes from icy waters, which explains why they still love swimming and retrieving just about anything they can carry in their mouths.

Labs are known for their outgoing personalities, eagerness to please, and incredible versatility. They excel as family companions, service dogs, therapy dogs, search-and-rescue dogs, hunting partners, and loyal best friends.

Their water-resistant coat, athletic build, and natural love of fetching make them excellent sporting dogs, but their biggest strength is probably their ability to make friends with absolutely everyone they meet.

And let's be honest—the bonus hint probably gave it away. If you've ever thrown a tennis ball for a Lab, you know that they firmly believe "fetch" should continue until one of you physically can no longer continue... and it usually isn't them. 🎾😂
