🏛️ ONE DAY ONLY — THE MARKET STREET BURIAL GROUND WILL BE OPEN! 🪦

One of Brighton’s most fascinating historic places will once again open its gates to the public — but only for one day!

📅 Saturday, October 17, 2026
⏰ 11:00 AM–2:00 PM
📍 Market Street Burying Ground
380 Market Street, Brighton

The Market Street Burying Ground is not ordinarily open to visitors, which makes this a rare opportunity to step inside and explore this remarkable piece of Brighton’s history.

🔔 If you’ve been waiting for the next opening, mark your calendar now! These openings are popular, and we often hear from people who are disappointed because they didn’t know about the event until it was too late.

Bring your family, friends, history-loving neighbors — and your curiosity! Come explore the grounds, connect with Brighton’s past, and discover some of the stories held within this historic burial ground.

There is no second day — once the gates close, they’re closed.

Please share this post with anyone who might want to attend so they don’t miss it!

Hosted by City of Boston Archaeology.
