Medbrook Children's Charity The mission of Medbrook Children’s Charity is to support the physical health, well-being and comfort Get Involved!

The mission of Medbrook Children’s Charity is to support the physical health, well-being and comfort of underprivileged children in and around Harrison County through engagement and financial support from our community. We believe that by assisting in the lives of local underprivileged children, we are not only investing in their individual futures, we are also investing in the future of our commu

nity. To support our mission and effectively serve these children in need, Medbrook Children’s Charity seeks local contributions and corporate sponsorship. Proceeds are distributed to schools and organizations serving disadvantaged children throughout our community. Since our inception in 2000, we have raised more than $1.5 million to fund projects and initiatives to benefit local, underprivileged children. We are a local charity with local leadership and NO paid employees, with a common goal to have a positive impact on our greater community. We established, and continue to be the sole financier for, The School Nurses’ Discretionary Fund. This fund allows the nurses to assist children in need with “minor” medical problems that might otherwise cause their families economic hardship. Worse yet, these medical problems could go completely untreated. We are also the sole financier of the Children’s Apparel Program, which provides funding to every school in Harrison County to be used for the purchase of clothing. The funds are utilized to purchase weather-appropriate clothing for underprivileged students, and are often used to buy a young student their first pair of new shoes. We are a community partner and regularly support special program needs for the Genesis Youth Crisis Center, The Clarksburg Mission, and The Clarksburg League for Service. We support The Greater Clarksburg 10K, encouraging children to exercise in order to combat childhood obesity. We provide complimentary pre-participation sports physicals to local youths regardless of socioeconomic status. The charity has provided this annual service for more than 20 years, having performed over 40,000 free physicals for local student athletes, valued at more than $500,000. We are committed to ensuring no child is prohibited from participating in extracurricular activities because they could not afford the cost of the required physical examination. There are multiple ways to get involved with Medbrook Children’s Charities! Whether you donate dollars or your time and talents, everything you do will help us support children in need in our community. For our golf tournament, we always have need for assistance with set-up and tear down the day of our annual event. No knowledge of golf is needed; just a desire to help and have some fun. During our annual sports physicals, our volunteer duties include set-up and clean up, clerical functions, traffic control, recording height and weight, etc. For those with medical skills, we can always use a hand with taking vital signs and performing the physicals. There are also numerous clerical tasks throughout the year - from as simple as stuffing envelopes to as creative and technical as helping us maintain our website. Please contact us at [email protected] and lend a hand!

At Medbrook Children’s Charity, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to feel included, supported, and celebrated. That is why we are honored to support Field Day with Friends hosted by the Lincoln High School Key Club.

This is more than just an event. It is a day that gives special education students from across Harrison County the chance to step outside of their daily routine and experience something truly special. A day filled with encouragement, laughter, and moments where they feel seen, valued, and part of something bigger.

What stands out most is the heart behind it. Students coming together to serve other students. A community showing up to create an environment where everyone belongs. These are the kinds of moments that leave a lasting impact not just on the kids, but on their families and everyone involved.

We are grateful to play a small part in supporting something so meaningful. And we are thankful for the people who support Medbrook Children’s Charity, because your support is what allows opportunities like this to exist.

Moments like this matter. And we are proud to stand behind them.

This is a great example of what you support when you support Medbrook Children's Charity.

Opening Day with the Bridgeport Challenger League, where every child gets the chance to step onto the field, hear their name called, and feel like they truly belong.

It’s more than just a game. It’s confidence, joy, friendships, and moments these families will carry with them forever.

We’re incredibly grateful to play a small part in something so meaningful, and it’s only possible because of your support.

We are proud to support the Bridgeport Farmers & Makers Market with a $5,000 contribution to this year’s Kid’s Corner.

At Medbrook Children’s Charity, everything we do is for local children. If we can help create a space filled with creativity, connection, and joy for families in our community, then we are fulfilling our mission.

We simply could not do this without our sponsors.

THANK YOU Medbrook Children’s Charity for their generous $5,000 contribution to the Bridgeport Farmers & Makers Market. 💛

Today we delivered 21 brand new bikes to the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. This has become one of our favorite traditions each Christmas season because it gives us a chance to help children right here in our own community.

During the delivery we met with Major John Sikes. He and his wife Andrea serve as the commanding officers for the Salvation Army across eight counties, including Harrison and Doddridge. The work they do for families in need is truly meaningful, and we are grateful to support their efforts.

This is what you make possible when you support Medbrook Childrens Charity. You help bring moments of joy to kids who deserve to feel seen and cared for during the holidays.

Thank you for standing with us and for believing in our mission to serve children of all ages. We look forward to sharing more throughout the season.

We were grateful for the opportunity to support Harrison County Schools once again. Every year, we donate $50,000 dollars to the Harrison County Board of Education to help meet important needs inside our classrooms and support students across the county.

We love being able to give back to the community that continues to support us and the children we serve.

At tonight’s meeting, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 presented a generous check to the Harrison County Board of Education 💙. This gift will help 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 across Harrison County Schools and support important needs in our classrooms 🎒📚.

We were thankful for this act of kindness and the care shown for our students! 💛

We’re so proud to share that we have donated $5,000 to the WVU Medicine Golisano Children's Christmas Wish List, a fund that helps bring joy and comfort to children spending the holidays in the hospital.

Many of the children cared for at WVU Children’s are from right here in Harrison County and the surrounding areas, and we want them to feel the love, hope, and support of home even while they’re in the hospital this Christmas. These are our kids too, and we’re honored to be able to give back in a way that reaches them where they are.

This donation will help make sure every child spending the holidays in the hospital receives a gift and a reminder that they’re not forgotten.

At Medbrook Children’s Charity, our mission is serving children of all ages, and we’re proud to be doing just that. This is what your support makes possible. When you give to Medbrook Children’s Charity, you’re giving moments of joy, comfort, and hope to children who need it most.
