Another squirrel-tastic festival in the books! Our community and friends braved the rain to enjoy great music, vendors, and crafts! We made white squirrel tails from upcycled and donated materials like leather, yarn, fabric, and more! A big thank you to for hosting us and sponsoring our booth for the weekend so we could bring a free, fun creative reuse craft. 🤍 🐿️

As always, thanks to for organizing this annual event. Can’t wait for next year!

Hey, parents in Brevard! Treat your kiddos a night of fun at and treat yourselves to a night off! We will be there with a craft, and there will be arcade games, board games, pizza, and tons of fun for ages 8+!

Still wrapping your mind around what a creative center reuse is all about? Take a look at Asheville’s newest one, ! They opened their doors yesterday and we got to check it out! From bulk supplies and art kits, to books and fabric and so much more—the creative opportunities are endless! We loved the art installations and local artist features, too. And of course, had to sneak a photo with our friends from .thrift.sew, as well as Remix It’s founder and executive director, Amanda!

The best part was seeing multiple customers check out with bagfuls of goodies and saying, “we’ll be back for more tomorrow!” 💛

Congrats, y’all! We are so excited to have you as neighbors and be a part of growing this creative reuse movement together. 🎨 🧶 ♻️

We are SO excited to share that we are officially a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization as recognized by the IRS! 😃 This opens up new doors for us as a community-oriented public charity and represents a big milestone for Sunshine Creative Reuse!

At the end of last year, we held a small fundraiser to cover our application fee and we are so grateful to those in our community who contributed and spread the word about this goal! Thank you.

This news comes at a welcome time, as we’re still running our Spring into Creativity fundraiser to help bring creative reuse to Brevard. We are in the final stretch. Let’s keep up the momentum, y’all!

Throwback to last year’s .the.earth.festival 🌎 Only 5 days away until we’re back again to celebrate Mama Earth together through good music, food, art, and other goodies. We’ll be back with almost twice as many secondhand art supplies in our pop-up thrift store AND a creative reuse raffle. We hope to see you there! Happy Earth Week!! 💛
