New Hour attended a Social Justice Project panel at Brooklyn Law School to raise awareness about the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (DVSJA), which supports criminalized survivors of domestic violence who have received lengthy prison sentences.
We’re proud to have been part of the DVSJA’s creation and remain committed to spreading awareness so more survivors can learn about this law and seek justice.

New Hour's advocacy organizer Izzy provided testimony at yesterday's NYC council maternal health hearing. New Hour will continue to advocate for humane conditions for pregnant and post natal individuals and applaud City Council for their concern with the lack of pregnant people being admitted to the Rose M. Singer jail nursery. Pregnant moms and infants deserve so much more support.

This is an opportunity to provide trauma-informed care to formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted women and gender-expansive people as they work toward healing and stability.
