THIS IS OUR DREAM!

A God Is Grace woman who has not been sponsored for three years and is prospering in her three businesses, takes on a woman who had no place to go and no opportunities.

Some of you know that this woman (lady on the left) came out of prison with nowhere to go. She was found by Danielle Pierce about two weeks ago. Josephine, our former sponsored woman, who has 3 businesses, agreed to employ this lady and is paying her to work in her restaurant. It delights us to see Josephine teach this lady how to do business and how to treat customers while she is employing her. One day, if she does well, we might just put this woman in God Is Grace with a sponsor!

Josephine gains a helper in her restaurant, and this woman gets paid while learning a business! Isn't our God good?!

Last Wednesday before our Bible study began with Danielle Pierce of Yes, Lord Ministries International, we brought in some gardeners who taught our women how to grow food in plastic bags! The idea is that most women rent a place to live. They do not own land. So farming is a challenge.

Last summer, while out visiting sponsored God Is Grace women, we saw some homes where people were growing beans, tomatoes, squash, and other vegetables in plastic bag containers. We knew this would be a productive way for mothers to be able to grow vegetables inexpensively AND help supply nutritional meals for their children. We left it up to those who wanted to learn and were surprised by the turnout.

As a result, this is something definitely we will incorporate into our training for our newly sponsored women and skill-training students every year!

What do you do when funds are tight and there is very little extra in your bank account? GIVE.

This time of the year is tight for God Is Grace Africa because we are coming off of our mission trip weeks and have met many needs while in Uganda. But this need to help Sheba arose from a friend, Danielle (who once was a full time missionary in Uganda) who is speaking in this video and we knew we needed to respond. We found a home for Sheba, a job and supplied the furniture and home necessities to get started. God is our source and HE has endless resources! Already He has given us back a portion of what we spent through donors who did not even know this need when they gave! That is our amazing God!

What a busy day at God Is Grace Women's Ministry! We were blessed to have Danielle Pierce of Yes Lord Ministries International come to our Training Center today to share God's Word with our ladies of God Is Grace. One hundred and forty five women of God Is Grace (sponsored women and women in our classes and clubs) came to hear Danielle speak. She spoke from God's Word and led three sessions on healing of emotional hurts and trauma from their past. Today as she shared, God moved on many hearts to heal. She also shared about how true healing begins with having a personal relationship with Christ. Three women at our center gave their lives to Christ. It was a day these women will long remember. We are so grateful to God for sending Danielle to share God's Word with these women. To God be the Glory!

Part 3

💧 Clean Water. Healthy Families. A Tangible Expression of Love. 💧

We are so grateful for the generous donors who make it possible for God Is Grace Africa to provide water purification systems to the women we sponsor in Uganda.
These water purification systems help our sponsored women purify their water, making it safer for them and their families to drink. What may seem like a simple gift is actually an important investment in the health and well-being of an entire family.

Day 2 - Just as you saw in yesterday's video, mothers must make sure that children are clean, clothes are washed and water is gathered for use at home. Sadly, the water available is used for all three needs. The water for bathing in or for washing clothes is the same for drinking. Many diseases result through unclean water.

God Is Grace Women's Ministry (aka God Is Grace Africa) offers a solution through a home water purification system. These water systems work well in cleaning dirty water so that it is safe to drink. We are grateful to those who bought water systems through our Christmas Catalog last year.

Tomorrow we will share with you the smiling faces of the women whose families were blessed by these water purification systems! Be watching!

We are beginning today a 3 day emphasis on the need for clean water. We are so blessed to go to our sinks and get CLEAN water. Many though in this world do not have plumbing systems to their homes and must survive by using whatever water is available. Today, Alice, our God Is Grace Africa administrator came upon Ugandan women trying to gather water (though dirty) from a broken pipe. Can you imagine this being your family's only means for daily water?

We are sharing this today and tomorrow to show what Ugandans experience every day. On the third day, we will share a solution for dirty water.

Our classes began at the God Is Grace Women's Center September 1! We have all new students in our Hairdressing and Sewing I classes. Here, teacher Nora (red shirt) is explaining the parts of a sewing machine. Students begin with the basics. Yet in two years, these women will be excellent tailors!! Just you wait and see!

Since being given the opportunity to have a children's space at our God Is Grace Women's Ministry, our mothers who are training to have skills to build businesses. TD a
bringing their little ones. It is a full day from 9 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m. but now these children have a place to play and to sleep while at the center. Children are at the very center of why these mothers come to our center. Having their little ones close by means much to them. Here, Nabirah, a young mother herself, shares a book with some toddlers. What a joy it is to watch Nabirah as she has grown as a wife and mom and as our our assistant administrator!
