CARE was founded in 1924, as a society for crippled children, and provides services in McKean County, PA and the surrounding region of Northwestern Pennsylvania.

The CARE For Children Halloween party held Wednesday night at the Bradford Area Public Library was a spooky good time! CARE staff, led by occupational therapist, Kim Miller, planned boo-tiful crafts, and creepy games that were more fun than a graveyard at midnight. Special thanks to our scary – good helpers from the Pitt Bradford softball team and Coach Tina Phillips. Thank you to our friends at Pizza Napoli for the beWitching Pizza and our favorite baker, Valorie Coast for the tasty spider, mummy, and bat cupcakes!!! We are especially thankful to the ARG- Our Legacy Fund, held at the McKean County Community Foundation, for sponsoring this fun event. And to our organization’s families and friends, all of us at CARE for Children wish you a happy and safe Halloween! 🎃

CARE for Children therapists Janel Weber, M.S., CCC-SLP, and Ashley Carlson, MOT, OTR/L, had a spooky good time at Little Learners Story Hour at the Bradford Area Public Library today!

The fun included reading the picture book Five Little Pumpkins and creating a pumpkin craft. Each child also received a book to take home and a handout featuring Halloween safety tips from the Safe Kids McKean Partnership.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and to the Bradford Area Public Library for inviting CARE for Children to be part of this fun, family-friendly event! We loved sharing stories, creativity, and a little Halloween spirit with our community.
