Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County Great Futures Start Here. It's more than a slogan....it's what we do every day! We serve 1,500 children.

We have 6 Club locations; 2 traditional Clubs (DeSoto and Palmetto) and 4 school-based Clubs - Daughtrey Elementary, Manatee Elementary, A Community Partnership School, Rogers Garden-Bullock Elementary and Oneco Elementary. Our Administration Office is :

Teens Ava, Shalyn, Robert, and Euphoria joined John Agnelli, Director of Advocacy & Strategic Initiatives, and Kathleen Belton, Advocacy Program Specialist, in Washington, DC, on June 14, 2026. Our members visited Amazon, Boeing, United, and Georgetown University, and also worked on resumes and interviewing skills. They enjoyed a complete tour of Washington, DC, gaining first-hand exposure to national institutions and career pathways through our partnership with The Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation (CoT).

The Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation (CoT) is a groundbreaking “incubator” for change, innovation, engagement, advocacy, and creative thinking. As the nation’s leader among Boys & Girls Clubs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington established CoT as a hub for Club youth from coast to coast. CoT serves as a conduit for social impact and justice, with a strong focus on elevating youth voices.

Our mission: to deepen Club youth’s awareness of global issues and empower them to advocate for a sustainable future.

Our vision: to design a locally crafted, nationally scalable program that offers youth world-class opportunities and experiences, turning them into global change agents and solution-focused leaders.

Join us in congratulating Club member Faith S., for winning the 2026 Manatee County Supervisor of Elections' "I Voted" Sticker Contest! Faith's design was chosen from entries submitted members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County and students of Manatee County schools. A group of our teen Club members, accompanied by F Agnelli, our Director of Advocacy & Strategic Initiatives, are in Washington D.C. this week to attend the 2026 Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation (CoT) Summit. Nearly 70 teens from Boys & Girls Clubs across the country are attending for a week of innovation, career exploration, leadership development, and new connections. They had the honor of meeting Dr. Sachiko Kuna, and spending time at her home. It was an inspirational moment.

The Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation (CoT) is a first-of-its kind “incubator” for change, innovation, engagement, advocacy, and creative thinking. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington established CoT as a destination for Boys & Girls Club members across the nation, providing youth with world- class opportunities and experiences to become global change agents and solution-focused leaders.

Club members from Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay and Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County joined Tampa Bay Buccaneers legends - Ronde Barber, Mike Alstott, and Derrick Brooks - at a Tampa Bay area Planet Fitness to kick off the High School Summer Pass program. Teens ages 14–19 can enjoy a free membership and stay active at their local Planet Fitness all summer long through August 31st! 💪☀️

Earlier this month members of the Desoto Club's Keystone Club held a car wash to raise money to go to Boys & Girls Clubs of America's National Keystone Conference. A BIG THANK YOU to Mac's Mobile Detailing for providing help and equipment to keeps the water and suds flowing.
Keystone Club is the Boys & Girls Club’s premier teen leadership program for ages 14–18—focused on academic success, career readiness, and community service. With the help of adult mentors, members build skills and make a real impact in their Clubs and communities.
Each year, teens from around the world come together at the National Keystone Conference to connect, explore important issues, and strengthen their leadership to drive change locally.
