💙 Churches, Pure Religion Sunday is on November 8 and we are inviting you to join us in showing support for vulnerable children and families in our community and around the globe.

Inspired by James 1:27, Pure Religion Sunday is an opportunity to put faith into action and show the love of Christ to children and families impacted by foster care, adoption, and kinship care.

Whether it’s assembling care bags for children entering out-of-home care, recognizing foster and adoptive families, sharing about the needs in our community, or finding new ways to serve, your church can make a difference!

Business leaders, organization volunteers, nonprofit staff members, university leaders, and other local partners recently gathered to learn about how to Lead with Resilience. This multi-agency training, hosted by Align Consulting and facilitated by Bridge a Life TBRI Practitioners, offers knowledge and strategies to help develop a positive workplace culture through a trauma-responsive lens.

"We don't know what's going on with other people that may be manifesting in their behavior, and we need to be sensitive to that. I appreciate the time to reflect and think about ways I can treat others better at home, at work, or wherever I am."-Training Participant

A couple of survey highlights:
*100% said their goal for attending was met.
*100% also believe the training improved their ability to meet their audience with an educated understanding of chronic stress, trauma, and behavior.
*There was a significant increase in the participants' confidence in identifying behaviors that could be the result of chronic stress.

Once again, the survey results showed that the training provided an increase in understanding and confidence in their ability to manage chronic stress, trauma, and behavior in themselves and others. Bridge a Life is excited to partner with the Child Protection Center for their first annual Runaway Pumpkin 5K & Family Fest! 🎃

Join us Saturday, October 31, for a fun morning filled with community, family connection, costumes, and plenty of kid-friendly activities.

The event includes a 5K run/walk, 100m Mini Monster Dash, and a FREE Fall Family Fest from 9 AM–1 PM with trick-or-treating, face painting, pumpkin painting, games, sensory stations, inflatables, giveaways, food trucks, a kids’ costume contest, and more!

And if you ran in Bridge a Life’s 2026 SuperHero Race back in February, this is your chance to keep going! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Complete all three races in the series (SupherHero, Runaway Pumpkin, & Turkey Trot) and earn a special series finisher medal!

You do not have to have participated in the SuperHero Race to join the Runaway Pumpkin 5K. Anyone can register and run!
