The Emanuel Jackson Sr. Project is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization with a focus on building and empowering our future leaders. Our mission is rooted in the mental & social development of our youth. We have targeted high character students that have already displayed a desire to grow exponentially as leaders of tomorrow. We base our acceptance of students into our program on their academic & beh

avioral history at school. It is our desire to seek those students who are progressing or making a significant effort to evolve as young leaders of tomorrow. The stronger we are together, the greater the impact we will have on those we hope to motivate. It is my aim to surround our youth with as many positive and forward thinking adults as possible. These men and woman of distinction will be guiding mentors to help shape & impact the lives of tomorrow’s leaders.

Our teens are READY for their summer internships through our Purpose Pays program!

Each spring, students looking to participate in Purpose Pays move through our Teen Career Readiness Program, which includes:

πŸ‘‰ skill-building workshops
πŸ‘‰ our annual Teen Career Conference
πŸ‘‰ the Teen Career Combine

And we gotta tell you: momentum is high coming off of the Combine!

Teens tackled fast-paced, team-based challenges such as multi-step problem-solving and collaborative hula hoop relays.

Partners from our host sites (including The FurBaby Group at True Floridian Realty and Untrendy Marketing) came out to cheer students on, chat with them, and see how their teamwork and communication skills can translate into workplace readiness.

Stay tuned this summer to see where each teen gets placed and what they learn along the way in their Purpose Pays internship.

Meet Malik Evans, a graduate of the Class of 2026 who has been a student at the EJS Project for six years.

His story is one of perseverance, hope, and transformation.

His grandma enrolled him in our programming at a time when he was going through a lot. "I had anger issues, I couldn't speak, and my grades were bad."

Now, he's off to college to play football -- all thanks to his own academic transformation, the support of our community, and the financial help of the Senior Gift Fund.

Malik, we know great things are in store for you. Anything and everything is possible.
