A HUGE congratulations to the Boynton Beach Police Athletic League All-Star Basketball Team for winning the 2026 NYPD PAL International Championship in New York City! 🏀🏆

Our All-Stars battled their way to an impressive 5-1 tournament record and brought the championship home to Boynton Beach. A special congratulations to LJ Whifort, who was named Tournament MVP!

This victory represents something even bigger than basketball. The mission of the Police Athletic League is to build positive relationships between youth and law enforcement through mentorship, athletics and meaningful opportunities that help young people grow, succeed and reach their full potential. This team — and this experience — is PAL’s mission in action.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this opportunity possible, especially the Seta Family Foundation and all of our generous sponsors and supporters.

Congratulations to our players, coaches and everyone behind this team. You made Boynton Beach proud. 💙

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Boynton Beach Police Athletic League’s 7-on-7 Tournament! 🔥🏈

The day showcased strong competition, teamwork, and dedication, as our student-athletes proudly represented our city and the nationally recognized Boynton Beach Bulldogs.

We invite the community to join us again tomorrow, from 12 to 5 p.m., for the Sports Performance Combine presented by Blacksheep Strength & Conditioning at the Ezell Hester Athletic Fields. The combine is designed to help young athletes build strength, skills, and confidence in a positive, supportive environment.

The Boynton Beach Police Athletic League remains committed to programs that promote character, leadership, and community connection.

This week, our Boynton Beach Police Athletic League’s All-Star Basketball Team took off to New York City for the National PAL Basketball Tournament—a once-in-a-lifetime experience that goes far beyond the game.

The Police Athletic League is dedicated to building positive relationships between law enforcement and youth through mentorship, teamwork, leadership, and opportunity. This trip gives these young athletes the chance to compete on a national stage and represent Boynton Beach with pride.

A huge thank you to our Boynton Beach Police Department officers, coaches, volunteers, families, and sponsors who make this life-changing program possible.

Our team has already won one game (54/40) against St. Edmunds. Today, our team competes in the championship tournament, followed by an international matchup against Team Canada tomorrow. Good luck, we’re cheering you on. 🏀💙

🏀 1st Annual PAL Basketball Alumni Game 🏀

What an incredible season and championship night! Led by League Director Evan Caruso, PAL Director Bill Tome, and Champion Coach Captain Deale, this 8-week league brought together 60 talented high school athletes across 6 competitive teams.

After a hard-fought season, the top 4 teams battled it out in the playoffs. Officer Jermaine Jones guided the Heat to a strong 2nd place regular season finish, though their run ended in the semifinals.

In the championship matchup, the 4th seeded Nets, coached by Captain Deale, faced off against the 2nd seeded Celtics—and came out on top as champions! 🏆

Shoutout to Alumni MVPs DJ & DJ for their standout performances.

We’re proud of the effort, sportsmanship, and growth shown by all players this season. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
