📢 Mandatory Fair Work Days 📢

All exhibitors must complete one hour of work to receive their premium check. Please see the attached schedule for available dates and times.

We are especially looking for older exhibitors to help on Monday, June 22, as we move larger items from the old barn in preparation for the new barn project.

Pike County youth fair exhibitors.

All ham, bacon, swine, cattle, sheep, goat, poultry, and rabbit exhibitors.

There will be one final mandatory exhibitor meeting on Monday, June 15th at 5:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. If you have not already attended a mandatory meeting you must attend this event.

GREENHOUSE CLEAN OUT. We are set up in the middle school parking lot today until 3pm. $10 each or 2 for $15.

The Bowling Green Ag department still has hanging baskets and some 4 packs of plants left. We have impatiens, coleus, begonias, and a little diantgus left in 4 packs at $2 each pack. There are Ajuga, Lantana, geraniums, sweet potato vinegar, and a couple of ferns in hanging baskets. Come any time after 3:12 and the gate will be open or all weekend.

📣 Pike County Fair Exhibitors – Please Read!

If you’re planning to show at the 2026 Pike County Fair, attending ONE of the scheduled exhibitor meetings is MANDATORY. These meetings will cover all the important information you need to have a successful and smooth fair experience.

We’ll go over livestock requirements, ID rules, sale updates, and everything you need to be prepared for fair week.

The season of fairs is upon us, and it’s time to select our next group of NE District Expo Youth Board Members!

The application process remains the same — a Google Form linked below and at the end of this email — and is due by the end of the day on May 11th.

Please share this opportunity with student leaders in your chapter who are motivated, dependable, and strong communicators. Encourage them to consider the commitment involved: Youth Board Members are expected to attend Zoom meetings, assist with set‑up and clean‑up, and actively help during the Expo.

Before applying, students should discuss transportation and participation expectations with you. If they are unable to drive or do not plan to exhibit at the Expo, this may not be the best fit for them. Another large responsibility of them is collecting sponsorships. We expect them to actively participate in this effort, securing at least 5, and asking in their local communities.

We’re excited to work with another great group of members this year and look forward to the excitement and ideas they provide!

Please pay attention when you come to the Bowling Green greenhouse. We have had some plants disappear that were labeled not for sale. Some of those were baskets for banquet this Thursday.
