Reindeer Roundup of Pike County OUR MISSION:

John 13:34-35 (ESV) A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.

Now this new commandment doesn't just tell us to love one another, but love like Jesus does. How did He love us....He gave every bit of himself for us. Just like it says in the old hymn, written by Elvina Hall (1865), “Jesus Paid it All”. She wrote the words to the poem, on a blank page in the hymn book, while thinking about Christ's last words before death....”Tetelestai”. The Greek word for “It

is finished”, but it was also used as an accounting term, in those days, stamping the word on paperwork saying “Paid in Full”. So in having the full understanding of His love for us, how can we not love our neighbors in that same way. Who is our neighbor? It's the person setting next to you in the doctors office waiting to be called. The one standing next to you in the gas station grabbing a cup of coffee. Some may live across the street or maybe in the next town, point being we are all neighbors. From the merger beginnings of our great nation, the founding fathers believed in the moral and value of caring for one another. Being neighbors to one another, not just someone you wave to as you leave for work. As a great man once reminded us, we are a “Government of the people, by the people, for the people.” Those words have no less meaning today. We are those people! We know the needs of our neighbors better than someone who has never taken the time to get to know them. Our hope/goal is to bringing our communities back together in order to bless some families during the holiday season with some of the needs and wants. The holidays should be a time to celebrate family and time together, not how you are going to make it through. In Matthew 7:7-8 Jesus tells “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”. As a group starting this new mission, “The reindeer round up”, we have ask the Lord for an opportunity to serve. We have sought out ways to better serve our community through the fellowship and compassion of Christ teachings. We knocked on the door and He has now opened it. So will you come walk through that door with us and be a part of our movement, something bigger than ourselves, taking care of His people.

We are reaching out to the Pike Co. Community! We need your help! Every school in Pike County( Bowling Green, Frankford, Louisiana, and Boncl) All have cabinets at their locations ( BG has 3 ,High school,Middle School, and Elementary) Great items to put in cabinets ( chips small bags, bowls of cereal, microwave Mac n cheese, Ravioli, granola bars, cereal bars, cans of soup anything small children can fix on their own)These cabinets help provide food for kiddos that are sometimes home by themselves to fix a meal or a snack for themselves before parents get home from work! We also ask to help with personal Hygiene products.
We are asking for our Community to help out items in the cabinets. If you grab a couple items each week please take them to the cabinets to help keep them stocked! This is a Community effort! It’s not up to any organization to help fill these cabinets.
They asked for metal cabinets because the wooden cabinets were leaking, getting eaten by the squirrels, so the Round Up provided them with cabinets. We help out filling cabinets when we can. So please Share this information to get this out to this Community to help those kids.

If you would like to help bless the families TOMORROW DECEMBER 6. Please be at the Elsberry High School Parking lot at 9:30am. If you have a horse you can bring it and ride, if you wanna walk you can walk with us, if you wanna bring your side by side bring it help us bless the family this year!!
