“If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”
- Dolly Parton

Words from a song that emphasize perseverance through difficulty; certainly appropriate for our times. God blessed me with His rainbow and His promise when I left a grocery store today. Thank you, Lord!

Dear friends, it should be of no surprise that Christians are still martyred today by the hands of modern-day Pharisees. Take comfort in the words of Jesus who said, “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more” (Luke 12:4, NIV).

“Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other.”
- Randy Pausch

In some parts of the world, gratitude, honor, respect, and love are frequently displayed through flowers and shawls. At times it is difficult for me to accept this attention simply because I feel undeserving. But to not accept this display of affection would be similar to me telling God, “No thank, You”, and that I am not willing to do.
