This is what community looks like and when we come together everything is possible!

Today’s gleaning brought in 4,800 pounds of kombucha squash which will feed and nourish Nj families around the state.

🍂 A beautiful fall day in the New Jersey Pine Barrens! 🌞

Class XIII of the New Jersey Agricultural Leadership Development Program (NJALDP) headed to Lee Brothers Cranberry Farm to witness the final days of this year’s cranberry harvest and learn firsthand from Stephen Lee IV, a fifth-generation New Jersey cranberry farmer and graduate of NJALDP class 6, Vice-President of the American Cranberry Growers Association and current President of the New Jersey State Board of Agriculture!

🌱 With roots dating back to the 1860s, Lee Brothers has been a cornerstone of New Jersey’s cranberry industry for over 150 years. Today, the family cultivates 135 acres of cranberry bogs surrounded by 1,700 acres of Pinelands forest and is one of the grower families behind the Ocean Spray cooperative.

Our emerging agricultural leaders got an up-close look at the cranberry harvest while learning about the history, innovation, and generations of hard work behind one of New Jersey’s most iconic crops.

A big thank you to Stephen Lee IV and the Lee Brothers family for sharing their knowledge and welcoming Class XIII to the farm!

We couldn’t be prouder of our own Director, Stacey Kennedy, who was recently honored with the Outstanding Women of Burlington County for Community Service! 🏆💚

Stacey was recognized for her tireless work with the New Jersey Agricultural Society and Farmers Against Hunger, and for the years of care, energy, and passion she has put into supporting New Jersey agriculture and our communities.

She was celebrated alongside seven other incredible women making a difference across Burlington County in Business, Diversity, Education, Health, Law, Leadership, Military Service, and Community Service.

We’re lucky to see firsthand just how much Stacey puts into this work and how deeply she cares about the people, farmers, and communities behind it. We’re even luckier to have her leading NJAS!

We’re so, so proud of you, Stacey — congratulations on such a well-deserved honor!! 💚🌱🏆
