School Ministries of Spartanburg Co. was established in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. SMSC continues reaching more students with the gospel!

We offer a Released Time program where parents can release their children to leave campus and receive a period of religious education during the public-school day. In January 2000, the ministry began its first semester at Chesnee Middle School serving 160 students.

It all started as a vision shared by two people: Chairman Michael Hollifield and Board Secretary Linda Miller. 💡 Knowing exactly who to turn to for direction, they reached out to Kyle Owings. 🤝 When this power trio teamed up, they sparked something truly special—proving that SMSC could successfully put together an incredible golf tournament! ⛳️🔥
From the green to the wonderful food, everything was completely donated! 🍔🏌️‍♂️ If you see Michael, Linda, or Kyle, or if you visit any of the participating restaurants, please join us in giving them a massive thank you! 🎉👏

What an incredible day on the course! ⛳️ A little breeze couldn't dampen the high spirits, laughter, and pure fun of our golf tournament. It truly took an amazing team effort to pull this off, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it a resounding success.

The excitement is building at SMSC! Tomorrow is finally the day we have all been preparing for—our inaugural golf tournament fundraiser.⛳️
We are so blessed to be hosting this special event at Three Pines Country Club. Knowing that it takes an army to make something like this happen, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved. Thank you to our title sponsor, premier and hole sponsors, participating teams, dedicated board, tireless volunteers, and wonderful friends.

SMSC is incredibly blessed by a special lady ❤️who brings joy to our Carver students during every occasion. 🎊 She pours her time and heart into creating unique treat bags for them to take home, always picking exactly what teenagers love most. 🍬🎁 Thank you for being such a wonderful blessing to our Carver students ! 🙌✨

Happy Saturday! 🍂 It is a gorgeous fall weekend, which feels like the perfect time to share a fun story. 🤗
I love visiting our sites and bringing treats. Bright and early that morning, I grabbed donuts for our Shoally 5th graders! 🍩 Then, over at Fairview Baptist Church, I ended up feeding the students and a friendly church cat that showed up—luckily, I had cat food in my car! 🐈
Feeding everyone physically and spiritually made for such a joyful start to our day! ✨🙏
