Established by Etienne and Betty Prophete in 1974 to "create communities where Hope can Thrive”

The best leaders are those who recognize that their accomplishments are made possible by others. 💙🙏

At this year’s Bible Training Center for Pastors (BTCP) graduation in Haiti, Jean Hermilus Omilus was named valedictorian, leading his graduating class. But when he stepped to the podium, he used the moment to express gratitude to Haitian Christian Mission, especially CEO Edwens Prophete, and to the faithful donors whose generosity made years of pastoral training and the graduation celebration possible.

Through our partnership with BTCP, HCM helps equip pastors with a deeper understanding of God’s Word and the practical skills they need to teach, preach, and lead their churches. After beginning in 2019, five students completed the program in 2026, persevering through years of challenges to answer God’s call on their lives.

Thank you for investing in leaders like Jean Hermilus Omilus. Your generosity is helping strengthen churches, equip pastors, and share the hope of Jesus Christ throughout Haiti. 🇭🇹

Today, instead of simply saying “thank you” to our pastors, would you take a moment to pray for them? 🙏

Lord, thank You for the pastors who faithfully serve You and care for Your people. Give them strength when they are weary, wisdom when they face difficult decisions, courage when the road is hard, and joy in the work You have called them to do. Protect them and their families, encourage their hearts, and remind them that their faithfulness matters. May You continue to use them to bring hope, share Your Word, and strengthen their churches and communities. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To every pastor serving in Haiti and around the world, we are grateful for you, we are praying for you, and we thank God for your faithful service. 💙

A ball, a few cones, and a coach who believes in you can make a bigger difference than you might think. ⚽💙

Through Play It Forward, 16 Multiply School leaders recently received sports kits during a distribution in Port-au-Prince.

Each kit included 10 balls, 100 cones, 10 markers, a stopwatch, and two mini-goals. These leaders now have the tools they need to continue their Coach de Vie (Life Coach) mission in their own communities.

But these kits are about so much more than sports equipment. They’re an investment in leaders who use sports to teach life lessons, build confidence, encourage teamwork, and help young people grow both on and off the field.

Thank you to everyone who makes Play It Forward possible! Together, we’re equipping local leaders to create opportunities for young people and helping hope thrive in Haiti. 🇭🇹🙌

When everything around you says, “This isn’t possible,” what do you do
You find a way.❤️🇭🇹

When security concerns made the permanent school campus in Gonaïves unsafe, Pastor Noubelson refused to let his students’ education come to a stop. He worked with local leaders and shop owners to secure supplies and helped arrange for a temporary school building to be constructed.

This means about 400 students returned to school this week!

We are amazed by the resilience of the leaders in Haiti who continue to find solutions and serve their communities, even when circumstances seem impossible.

And maybe the best part? Look at the smiles on the faces of these teachers and students. What could have been another reason for children to fall behind has instead become an opportunity for them to keep learning.

We are so grateful for you, our generous donors, who make it possible to support education and invest in leaders like Pastor Noubelson. Thank you for helping hope thrive, even in the most difficult circumstances. 🙏💙

🙏 October is Pastor Appreciation Month! 🙏

This month, we want to take a special moment to honor and celebrate the pastors and leaders serving across HCM’s 22 churches throughout Haiti.

Many of these men have continued shepherding their congregations through incredibly difficult circumstances. Some have put their own safety on the line to remain with their people. They spend countless hours listening to the concerns, burdens, and needs of those they serve.

And for many communities, a pastor is much more than a spiritual leader. He becomes a solid rock. He is a person people turn to when they don't know where else to go.

When someone is sick, they come to the pastor.
When a child needs school supplies, they come to the pastor.
When a family’s home needs help, they come to the pastor.
When someone passes away, they come to the pastor.
When a family is hurting, they come to the pastor.

These faithful men preach the Word, pray with their people, encourage families, care for their communities, and continue serving even when the road ahead is difficult.

This month, we want them to know they are not alone. ❤️

✏️ Would you take a moment to leave an encouraging message for our pastors in the comments below?

We will make sure your words of encouragement reach our pastors in Haiti.

And throughout this month, as you think of them, please keep them in your prayers. Pray for their safety, strength, wisdom, and resilience. Pray for their families, too, as they faithfully support these men in their calling.

To every HCM pastor: Thank you for standing faithfully in the place where God has called you. We see you. We appreciate you. We are praying for you.

❤️ Happy Pastor Appreciation Month!

📚 Back to School at Chapotin! 🇭🇹

A new school year is beginning, and we are praying for the students and teachers at our school in Chapotin. We pray that God will give teachers wisdom and patience as they guide their students, and that He will give each child a joyful heart, a desire to learn, and the strength to do their best.

We are deeply grateful to our generous donors, whose faithful support helps make education possible for these children. Your kindness provides opportunities for students to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. We also thank the teachers who pour into these young lives each day.

Please join us in praying for a safe, successful school year filled with learning, growth, and hope! 🙏💙

Many of you have heard that the situation in La Croix Perisse has become very difficult as exchanges of gunfire between police and armed groups have forced families to leave the community for their safety. The church is temporarily closed, and families have been scattered, with some seeking refuge in Gonaives and others in the mountains.

Even in the midst of this uncertainty, Pastor Noubelson continues to care for his people. These photos are from a Bible study he is holding with church members who have relocated to Gonaives. Another pastor has graciously allowed him to use their church facility on Sunday afternoons so that the displaced members can continue to worship, study God’s Word, and encourage one another.

Please pray for protection, peace, and provision for the people of La Croix Perisse. Pray for Pastor Noubelson as he shepherds his scattered congregation, and pray that God would strengthen His Church and bring hope to this community during a very difficult time. 🙏🇭🇹
