⚽🎉 Celebrating Growth Through Play-It-Forward! 🎉⚽

At the conclusion of May, our Play-It-Forward (PIF) program hosted its monthly closing tournament, a special opportunity to celebrate the progress, growth, and hard work of our young athletes. Over 500 students attended, way beyond what we expected! 🙌🏾

This tournament was about so much more than competition. It was a chance for children to:

⚽ Express themselves through the joy of sport
💪🏾 Put into practice the skills they’ve developed during weekly training
🤝 Learn teamwork, perseverance, and healthy competition
🌱 Grow in confidence, resilience, and character

At PIF, we believe sports are a powerful tool for helping children discover their potential, both on and off the field. Through each practice and each game, these young athletes are learning valuable lessons that will impact their futures.

📚 Hope Is Growing in Haiti’s Classrooms

From Fonds Parisien to Nan Plaisir to Thoman, Jimmy witnessed the same message everywhere he went: challenges are real, but so is hope.

Students are learning.
Teachers are serving.
Leaders are being raised up.

For many children, education represents an opportunity to create a different future, not only for themselves but for their families and communities.

Thank you for standing with HCM and helping provide opportunities for children across Haiti. Because of your prayers and support, classrooms continue to be places where children can learn, grow, and experience the love of Christ.

👩🏽‍🏫 More Than Teachers, They Are Building the Future

During his visit to HCM schools, Jimmy was reminded that the heart of education is not just found in classrooms; it is found in the people who dedicate their lives to serving children.

Jimmy met teachers and administrators who have faithfully served students for many years. Some staff members were once students in HCM schools themselves and are now investing in the next generation.

Their commitment is a beautiful picture of what happens when a child is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream.

🌱 A Student Becomes a Leader

One of the most powerful moments of Jimmy’s trip was meeting Mr. Rodrick Cadet, the administrator at Nan Plaisir School.

Years ago, Rodrick sat in those same classrooms as a student. Today, he leads an entire school with passion, vision, and dedication.

His story is a reminder that the impact of education reaches far beyond graduation day. When we invest in children, we are helping develop future teachers, leaders, and servants who will strengthen their communities.

After 15 years away, HCM Development Specialist Jimmy Prophete returned to Haiti to visit the communities and schools that are at the heart of Haitian Christian Mission’s ministry.

As he traveled through Fonds Parisien, Nan Plaisir, and Thoman, he witnessed something powerful: despite the challenges facing Haiti, God continues to work through faithful teachers, dedicated leaders, and students who are eager to learn.

As we enter the final month of the school year, our students are preparing for their end-of-year exams. This is an important time as they work hard to finish the year strong and demonstrate all they have learned.

Many of these students have overcome challenges throughout the year, yet they continue to show determination, perseverance, and a desire to learn. 💛

🎉⛪ Celebrating 22 Years of Ministry in Beudet! ⛪🎉

What a joyful season for the Christian Church of Beudet, led by Pastor Dieudon, as they recently celebrated their 22nd church anniversary! 🙌🏾

Leading up to the celebration, the church held two weeks of spiritual activities, something they had not been able to do for more than five years. The opportunity to gather once again for extended fellowship, worship, and encouragement was a tremendous blessing for the congregation.

Throughout the celebration, believers came together to sing, pray, share meals, and hear the Word of God. 📖💛 The theme for the week was:

"Trust God, and He Will Deliver You" from Acts 16:17

One of the greatest highlights was witnessing two baptisms, a beautiful reminder that God is continuing to work in hearts and transform lives. 🌊✝️

We praise God for His faithfulness to the church in Beudet over the past 22 years and pray for many more years of ministry, growth, and impact in the community.
