Tonight’s Diet Coke and Mentos experiment got us thinking a little deeper than we expected.

If you look closely at Mentos, they aren’t perfectly smooth. They have tiny pits and rough spots all over them, and those “imperfections” are exactly what cause the big reaction.

God doesn’t ask us to show up polished and flawless. He meets us in the middle of our imperfections and uses them in ways we don’t always expect. What feels like a flaw to us might actually be where He’s working the most.

Tonight was a good reminder: you don’t have to be perfect to be used by God.

Join us this week as we pray for all those affected by the flooding in Texas. One of the little girls who is still missing is an AHG member of a Texas troop. On Wednesday night we will spend time in prayer, as well as making bracelets we will be selling to raise money to send to the Texas Baptist Association’s Disaster Relief Fund.
