This month, we're proud to recognize Jamie Gore!

Jamie has served as the representative from our Shepherd's Cove Hospice Board on our Foundation Board for the past six years. He is also a part owner of Gore and Stisher Wealth Management. Throughout his time on the board, Jamie has been a wonderful advocate for Shepherd's Cove, continually supporting our mission and helping strengthen the work we do in our community.

We are incredibly grateful for Jamie's commitment, generosity, and heart for serving others. His continued support and willingness to invest his time and talents in Shepherd's Cove Hospice are a true blessing to our organization and the families we are honored to serve.

We're proud to also recognize another wonderful member of our Foundation Board this month, Julie Whitt!

Julie has been a valued member of the Shepherd's Cove Hospice Foundation Board since 2023. She is also a local business owner and owns Point of Beginning Realty LLC. Julie brings her knowledge, connections, and heart for our community to the Foundation Board and continues to be a wonderful supporter of Shepherd's Cove Hospice.

This month, we're proud to recognize Wayne East!

Wayne began serving on the Shepherd's Cove Hospice Foundation Board in 2022. Before retiring, he served as the Risk Management Director for the Alabama Housing Authority. As a resident of Etowah County, Wayne has been a wonderful advocate for Shepherd's Cove, helping us build connections and share our mission throughout the Etowah County community.

Wayne is always willing to lend his time and support wherever it is needed. Most recently, he served on our Fairway to Heaven committee, helping make this year's event a success.

We are so thankful for Wayne's continued support and the heart he has for our mission. His willingness to advocate for Shepherd's Cove and help us reach more people in Etowah County is a true blessing to our organization.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Matthew Seton for generously donating these beautiful handmade patriotic quilts to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. Each quilt was made with such care and will be a meaningful gift of comfort and appreciation for those we have the honor of serving.

We would also like to thank the Mountain Valley Arts Council for graciously allowing Mr. Seton to use their space to create these special quilts. Your support helped make this wonderful gift possible.

We are so thankful to live in a community filled with people who are willing to share their time, talents, and resources to care for others.

We are absolutely thrilled to share the final total from this year’s Summer Soirée: more than $213,000 raised for Shepherd’s Cove Hospice!

That makes this year’s Soirée our most successful in years, and we are still blown away by the generosity of this community.

But the number is only part of the story.

Every sponsorship. Every ticket. Every auction bid. Every donation. Every person who showed up and said, "This work matters."

Together, you helped raise more than $213,000 to support compassionate hospice care, community grief support, and the programs and services that allow us to care for families throughout our community, regardless of their ability to pay.

$213,000 is incredible. The love behind it is even bigger!
