Blue Ridge ISD, thank you!

Summer break is here, and BRISD is ready to help keep kids fueled up!

We will be serving FREE breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under this summer.

When: Monday through Thursday, May 26 through June 25
Where: Blue Ridge Elementary Cafeteria, 10944 CR 504
Breakfast: 7:30 to 9:00 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Students attending summer school and summer workouts will also have the opportunity to enjoy these meals.

Come hungry, leave full, and have a great summer!

Today we celebrate a community champion, Mr. Brooks. His donation will feed 18 families this month, reminding us how powerful generosity can be. Every donation becomes a lifeline for someone who truly needs it.

It was a wonderful day as Grace, a Community Partner Specialist, Sr. with North Texas Food Bank (NTFB), spent the morning at our pantry, connecting with some of our dedicated volunteers and presenting a generous gift of Walmart gift cards.

Gift cards that will provide milk for our clients through July, a testament to the profound impact of our 14-year partnership with NTFB, empowered by Grace's guidance, in supporting and serving our beloved community.

Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix

1 tablespoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
½ teaspoon Smoked Paprika
½ teaspoon Oregano
½ teaspoon Smoked Kosher Salt
¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
Red Pepper Flakes or Cayenne (measure with your heart and your love of heat)

Mix all ingredients together and store in an air tight container for up to 6 months.

Two TABLESPOONS of mix equals one store bought packet.
