If you haven't tried Texas Pecan Smoked BBQ don't wait any longer, it is delicious! And the owner drove 45 minutes to deliver, talk about service!

Thank you for helping make our volunteer appreciation celebration extra special with such an incredible meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and we couldn’t have asked for a better spread to share with our amazing volunteers.

Where do I even start, the pickled red onions, the cherry barbecue sauce, the fall apart brisket, the mouth watering sausage, or the chicken?! It was all 😋!!!!

A BIG thank you to our volunteers Scott & Phyllis for their incredibly generous donation!

Your donation will provide milk for 140 of our clients next month. Clients know Scott well, he is the one who faithfully brings groceries to your car every 1st and 3rd Monday, rain or shine, through the heat and the cold. And Phyllis is behind the scenes filling that grocery basket.

Thank you, Scott & Phyllis, for giving not only so generously, but also for giving your time and heart to our pantry and our neighbors.

Today is National Dog Day, a day to adopt from a shelter your new fury friend. This recipe is for people with four legged fur babies. However the cookies are safe for human consumption 😁.

DOG Cookies

Easy to Make-Time: 1hr-Makes: 48Sm or 24Lg

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING: Do not use a peanut butter that has an artificial sweetner in the ingredients, artificial sweetners will kill your pet. I use all natural peanut butter, it has less sugar but normal peanut butter works fine too.

2 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat flour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup of Water
2 Tbsp Honey
1 Egg

Combine Peanut Butter, Water, Honey and Egg. Combine Whole Wheat Flour and Baking Powder. Pour Peanut Butter mixture in to dry mixture. Stir with spoon and mix with hand until mixed together well.

Preheat oven to 350.

Rollout dough 1/4 thick, cut in to shapes. Image depicts what I use for sizing only.

Bake 20 minutes at 350. Turn oven down to 285, bake another 10 minutes.

Note: Keep in baggy on shelf 3 days, refrigerator 7 days, freezer months.

Volunteer Shout Out

A big shout out to volunteer Lisa, husband Casey and son Aiden. Every week, they make time to pick up grocery store donations for our food pantry. When they’re not busy helping feed our neighbors, they’re busy working with their chickens!

We’re so grateful for the time, dedication, and love they give to our pantry and our community. Thank you, Lisa Casey and Aiden!

A BIG shout out to two amazing local artists!

We are so grateful to Abby and Nicole for stepping up to support our volunteers with something even more special than a gift card, something handmade with love!

Abby, our Artist & Crochetpreneur, donated her wonderful handmade dish scrubbies. I’ve personally had one for a year! They clean dishes without scratching and can easily be tossed in the dishwasher or washing machine.

The local businesses in this community continue to blow me away with their generosity, from Melissa all the way to Leonard!

A huge thank you to Dairy Queen & O'Reilly Auto Parts of Leonard and The Rock Yard Kitchen & Bar of Trenton for your incredibly generous gift card donations for our volunteers.

A HUGE thank you to an anonymous donor who generously donated 173 pounds of processed pork to the pantry!

This pork was USDA inspected and raised naturally, without all the chemicals and additives you often find in commercially raised meat. We are so grateful for this incredibly generous donation!

Our clients are going to be in for a real treat on Monday!

I know it’s late, but I can’t close out the night without giving a special shout out to Lea’s Restaurant & Sports Grill family and the Circle Star Quick L**e & Tire family in Leonard for their incredibly generous gift certificates today.

We are so grateful that you thought of our volunteers and wanted to help us show them just how appreciated they are. I know our volunteers are going to love the wonderful items you gave!

Thank you both so much for supporting Four Corners Outreach Alliance Food Pantry and for helping us take care of the people who give so much of their time to take care of our community.
