Meet our Emerging Leaders Board (ELB) Member, Rudy!
How long have you been involved with CSC?
2.5 years
What inspired you to join the Emerging Leaders Board?
It has been a part of my family’s initiative to serve Cancer Support Community. My dad was a member of the board for many years, which is originally how I got introduced. Many of our family members have been impacted by cancer so the mission is really near and dear to me and my family.
What has been your favorite ELB memory so far?
It is hard not say the sneakerball. It was our first annual event held by the ELB, with a lot of help from my grandmother, who appears to be a honorary ELB Member after the sneakerball. It was great to see the new and familiar faces enjoying an event the ELB put a lot of effort into.
If someone asked why they should support CSC, what would you tell them in one sentence?
Supporting CSC means helping ensure that no one affected by cancer, whether it's the person diagnosed, their family, friends, or caregivers, has to face the journey alone by providing free support, education, and resources.
Favorite Cincinnati restaurant?
Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment The Precinct
Fun fact?
I'm a Cincinnati history and geography ju**ie. I tend to go down rabbit holes about old neighborhoods, population shifts, historical maps, and how the city has evolved over time.
*CSC ELB members play a pivotal role in guiding the organization’s mission, ensuring its sustainability, and expanding its impact. CSC seeks passionate young professionals (ages 25-40) who are committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by cancer.
