When the Creative Connections crew starts showing up in the same outfits, we know we’re really connected! 😂💛

Week after week, we spend time together, get to know one another, and build connections that go far beyond dressing alike. 🥰✨

That consistency is one of the things we love most about Creative Connections. Familiar faces become friends, participants and care partners find people who understand, and each week gives us another chance to laugh, sing, move, and simply enjoy being together.

Apparently, if you spend enough time together, you might even start dressing alike. 😂💙

We are still smiling about the incredible honor of being named a 2026 Impact 100 Grant Finalist. But perhaps what means the most is what this opportunity is making possible: more people are learning that Giving Voice Foundation is here. 💙

More families are discovering that they don’t have to navigate dementia alone. More community members are learning what is possible when individuals living with dementia and their care partners have consistent opportunities to connect, contribute, and belong. And that awareness matters.

Today, our six Creative Connections locations are at or nearing capacity. Families are waiting. The number of people impacted by dementia continues to grow and we are committed to growing with the need. Our Scaling Connections: A Vital Lifeline for Tri-State Families Facing Dementia project would expand Creative Connections from six locations to nine, strengthening our ability to bring consistent, local support closer to more families across the Tri-State.

We are deeply grateful to Impact100Cincinnati for shining a light not only on Giving Voice Foundation, but on the extraordinary work happening throughout our community. If you’ve been inspired by the organizations you’ve met through Impact 100, we hope you’ll consider learning more about membership. It is a powerful way to connect with other women, learn deeply about our community’s needs, and collectively invest in organizations working every day to meet them.

Today, we’re opening the door to something we’ve been working on with a lot of heart. 💙

For years, Cincy Senior Stories gave us the privilege of sharing the lives and experiences of older adults in our community. Along the way, we realized there were even more voices waiting to be heard.

Individuals living with dementia. Care partners. Family members. Friends. Professionals. Volunteers. Neighbors.

Different experiences, but so many moments that connect us.

Our Voices. Our Stories. is Giving Voice Foundation’s new community storytelling initiative, created to make space for those voices and the stories that can help someone else feel seen, understood, and less alone.

And this is only the beginning.

Our very first story will be shared later today through the next edition of our Giving Voice Foundation newsletter, with a new community story featured each month.

Sometimes we hear someone else’s story and find a little piece of our own.

A familiar feeling. A shared experience. A moment that makes us feel seen, understood, or a little less alone.

There is power in making space for those moments and in listening when someone chooses to share.

Tomorrow, we’re opening space for something new. 💙

Gratitude is at the heart of everything we do. Giving Voice Foundation is what it is today because of a community of people who believe that individuals and families impacted by dementia deserve connection, support, joy, and a place where they know they are not alone.

Because of you, we now welcome 240 people each week through Creative Connections and have walked alongside more than 800 families through our Purposeful Planning Program. And we continue to grow - thoughtfully, with integrity and care - so we can be there for even more people throughout our Tri-State community.

To every donor, sponsor, volunteer, partner, participant, family member, advocate, and friend who has opened a door, shared our story, invested in our mission, or simply believed in what is possible: thank you.

Well, this was a first for Creative Connections. 🌪️🎶💙

When a tornado warning meant everyone needed to safely head to the church basement, our participants, care partners, volunteers, and team did exactly that.

And of course, the music came with them.

What could have been a stressful interruption turned into another moment together, with familiar songs, smiles, and the kind of joy this group seems to find wherever they gather.

Everyone remained safe, and we’re so thankful for the staff and volunteers who helped calmly care for our GVF community through an unexpected afternoon.

We talk often about the importance of consistent connection for individuals living with dementia and their care partners. Today was a pretty sweet reminder that sometimes connection simply means being together, making the best of the moment, and keeping the music going. 💙

Congratulations to Chuck Albers on reaching an incredible milestone of 100 volunteer hours with Jewish Family Service!

Giving Voice Foundation has had the joy of experiencing Chuck's kindness and dedication firsthand. As a Creative Connections caregiver facilitator, he creates a space where caregivers feel welcomed, supported, and understood. His compassionate presence makes a meaningful difference to the families we serve each week.

Chuck, thank you for the countless ways you give back to our community. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Giving Voice Foundation family, and we celebrate this well-deserved recognition alongside you.
