What does community look like?
It looks like stories shared around a table.
It looks like laughter between people who understand.
It looks like a warm hug, a meaningful conversation, and the feeling that you donโt have to navigate this journey alone.
This weekend, we gathered for our second annual We Are With You Gathering, bringing together individuals and families impacted by dementia for an afternoon of connection, creativity, reflection, and support.
Together, we shared stories at the Story Sharing Station, explored creativity through leaf etching art, enjoyed delicious food and mocktails, celebrated community through Community Connection Bingo, and reflected on the many moments that make Giving Voice Foundation so special.
One guest shared:
๐ โSo much fun today! Better than last year.โ
Another reflected:
๐ โSo much comfort in our people who share so much in common.โ
These words remind us why we do this work.
At Giving Voice Foundation, we believe that meaningful connection can change lives. Every conversation, every shared story, every welcoming smile helps create a community where people impacted by dementia can find belonging, support, and hope.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, donated, and helped create such a warm and joyful afternoon.
