Trusting God & welcoming all, the Church on the Green is a thoughtful, caring, compassionate faith community based in the historic heart of Bloomfield, NJ.

The Church on the Green opens our doors to all. We aspire to be a church that feels "like home" for a first time visitor, but that offers a lifetime of opportunities to grow in faith and service. We welcome seekers and lifelong Christians, single and married people, families of all configurations and children of all ages, dyed-in-the-wool Presbyterians and those who aren't even sure how to spell P-r-e-s-b-y-t-e-r-i-a-n but want to know Christ. We are united in our desire for an authentic faith expressed in acts of compassion and service. Could we be the church you've been looking for? While our sanctuary is closed for renovations, we worship in our historic Parish House. Ample parking is available in the Board of Education lot on the corner of Broad St. and Belleville Av. The service begins at 10:45AM. All are welcome.

Thank you Bloomfield! We have reached our goal--in gifts and pledged gifts--for the Joint Capital Campaign for the restoration of the Sanctuary On The Green and the repair of the 19th century Steeple Clock. With your support, we are pleased to announce that sufficient funds are available to begin the necessary work. If you have not yet fulfilled your pledge, we encourage you to do so at this time. Watch this space for an exciting update on the Steeple Clock. (Spoiler Alert: it has been reinstalled and is working! The next step will be connecting the striking mechanism to the bells...)
