What happens when you bring everyone back to the table after a mission trip?

You laugh.
You cry.
You remember moments you forgot happened.
And you realize that Honduras changed each of us in ways we never expected.

In Part 2 of our Honduras Team Reflection series, we’re continuing the conversation with the team that traveled to Morolica, Honduras. From funny memories and unexpected challenges to powerful moments with the children, families, and community, we’re sharing the stories that stayed with us long after we returned home.

One of the things we’ve learned is that missions are never just about what you give. They’re also about what God does in your own heart while you’re serving others.

As we prepare for Honduras 2.0, we’re more committed than ever to the vision of serving, educating, and empowering communities through Believe Worldwide.

This wasn't just a trip. It was moments that changed us. In this sit-down conversation, me, Melanie, and Xio share what we experienced, what God did in our hearts, and some of the moments that stayed with us long after we came back home.

We laughed, reflected, and talked about the people, the love, and the reminder that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness leave the biggest impact.

Hay momentos en los que un “gracias” no se siente suficiente… pero es lo que llevamos con el corazón lleno.

Gracias a ustedes, llegamos a Honduras.
Gracias a ustedes, pudimos servir.
Gracias a ustedes, vidas fueron tocadas y comunidades fueron fortalecidas.

A los equipos y miembros de City of Restoration Church que estuvieron detrás de esta misión, que dieron, sirvieron y nos apoyaron en cada paso del camino… gracias por ser parte de algo más grande que nosotros.

A los líderes de Monte Carmelo que nos abrieron camino y nos permitieron conocer Honduras, gracias.

A los negocios que apoyaron esta misión, y a muchos otros pequeños negocios que dieron en silencio y con generosidad… los vemos y los honramos.

Un agradecimiento especial a Ricardo de Safety NJ First, The Nest Home Services y sus increíbles clientes, Diamond Hut, David Ríos de David’s Barbershop, y El Shaddai Church por sus generosas donaciones y apoyo.

A cada amigo y familiar que aportó ropa, suministros médicos, recursos y apoyo financiero… ustedes son parte de cada vida que pudimos alcanzar.

Al equipo de Believe Worldwide, Inc., su esfuerzo, unidad y compromiso hicieron posible esta misión.

A todos los que nos mantuvieron en sus pensamientos y oraciones… gracias por caminar con nosotros.

Gracias a este esfuerzo colectivo, pudimos servir a más de 100 niños y más de 50 familias, incluyendo ancianos, a través de Morolica, Honduras.

Y no terminó ahí.

Seguimos apoyando estas comunidades. Hemos comenzado apoyo escolar para estudiantes que estamos patrocinando, ayudándolos a permanecer en la escuela, y seguimos conectados con las familias y líderes a quienes servimos. Estamos comprometidos a continuar la obra en las comunidades que visitamos.

A todos en Honduras que nos abrieron puertas, caminaron con nosotros y nos recibieron como familia… gracias por permitirnos servir a su lado.

Cada dólar tuvo un propósito.
Cada contribución hizo impacto.
Nada fue desperdiciado.

Esto es solo el comienzo.

Ya nos estamos preparando para la Fase Dos de nuestro regreso a Honduras… y vamos a volver.

There are moments where “thank you” doesn’t feel big enough… but it’s what we carry with full hearts.

Because of you, we made it to Honduras.
Because of you, we were able to serve.
Because of you, lives were touched, and communities were strengthened.

To the teams and members of City of Restoration Church who stood behind this mission, gave, served, and supported us every step of the way… Thank You for being part of something bigger than us! To the Monte Carmelo leaders that opened up the way for us to become introduced to Honduras, we thank you!

To the businesses that supported this mission, and to the many other small businesses who gave quietly and generously… we see you, and we honor you.

Special thank you to Ricardo from Safety NJ First The Nest Home Services and their amazing clients, Diamond Hut, David Rios from David’s Barbershop, and El Shaddai Church for your generous donations and support.

To every friend and family member who contributed clothing, medical supplies, resources, and financial support… you are part of every life we were able to reach.

Because of this collective effort, we were able to serve over 100 children and more than 50 families including elders across Morolica, Honduras.

And it didn’t stop there.

We are continuing to support these communities. We have begun school support for students we are sponsoring, helping them stay in school, and we remain connected to the families and leaders we served. We are committed to continuing the work in the communities we visited.

To those in Honduras who opened doors for us, partnered with us, and welcomed us like family… thank you for allowing us to serve alongside you.

Every dollar had a purpose.
Every contribution made an impact.
Nothing was wasted.

This is only the beginning.

We are preparing now for Phase Two of our return to Honduras… and we will be going back.

After months of planning, packing, and preparing, we’re officially on our way to Honduras!

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us, donated, encouraged us, and helped make this trip possible. This journey is bigger than us, and we’re grateful for every person who played a part.

We’ll be sharing moments, stories, and updates along the way, so make sure to keep following to see what this trip is all about.

Grateful for a powerful day of learning and preparation.
Thank you (SAFETY NJ) for equipping us with CPR & First Aid training, and a huge thank you to our instructor Ricardo for being patient, thorough, and encouraging all of us ladies.
