We're thrilled to host this upcoming concert by multiple Grammy Award winning musicians Greg and Pat Zuber, aka Duo Zuber, performing works by French composers arranged for flute and Marimba. This concert is sponsored by the Sanctuary on the Sanctuary On The Green Arts, Cultural and Community Alliance, which is working bring high quality arts programming to the heart of Bloomfield. Cost is $10 or pay-what-you-can. Children 12 and free. Sunday, March 8, 3PM in the historic sanctuary.

We're thrilled to announce that our next Sanctuary Sounds concert will be a program of French music arranged for flute and marimba and performed by Duo Zuber, Sunday, March 8, 3:00PM. Duo Zuber is Patricia Zuber on flute and Greg Zuber on marimba. Both are multiple Grammy Award winners for performances with the Metropolitan Opera. They will perform works by Massenet, Debussy, Satie, and Messiaen, including Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun." Location is the Sanctuary on the Green, 147 Broad Street, Bloomfield. Cost is $10 (free for children 12 and under), or pay-what-you-can.

On this Epiphany, light falls again on the Church on the Green.

For generations, this place has stood at the center of Bloomfield — marking time, gathering people, and holding space for faith, music, and community.

Thanks to the generosity of many, this year-end campaign has brought meaningful new momentum to the restoration of the Church on the Green.

We are closer than we were — and deeply grateful for everyone who helped carry this work forward into the new year.

This is the Sanctuary on the Green as it is today.

Above the pews, the original plaster ceiling began to fail and was removed years ago, leaving the roof structure exposed.

The restoration project will insulate the interior and install a new fabric ceiling — improving sound, lighting, and comfort, while honoring the historic design that has always defined this sacred space.

This endeavor is about caring for what we have, so this sanctuary can continue to serve Bloomfield for generations to come.

It has watched generations come and go — calling people together, holding memory, and standing steady through change.
