Events and Activities for June.
Mon. 1st Blood Pressures 11 :15 to 11:45. Open to everyone.
Mon 1st Music by Larry Lompa and his concertina. Come and join us for some good toe tapping Polkas and Waltzes. Everyone is welcome. Event is free.
Toe Nail Clinic: Mon 15th. Call 715 568 2796 for appointment.
Senior Exercises: Mon. and Thurs. 10.30 All are welcome. Stretching exercises for anyone.
Strong Bodies : Tues at 9.30 NO Fri. exercises for the summer.

Yoga: Wed. 9.30 Open to all . Sitting and standing. Instructor has adjustment if this is too difficult. Fee $5.00

Senior Activities for May
Monthly Meeting: Monday 11th at 1 p.m. Anyone 50 and over is welcome. Our due are $10.00 per year per person.
Aging With Insight to follow monthly meeting. This is an open discussion.
This month we will be starting a monthly blood pressure for anyone that wants to come. It will be Monday 4th at 11.15 to 11.45. This will be the first monday of the month and will be done by nurses from Meadowbrook. Everyone is welcome.
Toe Nail Clinic will be Monday May 4th at 1. Call 715 568 2796.
May 18th at 12.30 Chippewa Co Public Health will do a
Presentation and Demonstration on Ground Water. Presenter is Bre Moldrem Environmental Health Specialist.
Yoga Classes will be Weds.. at 9.30 on May 6th 13th 20th 27th. Fee is $ 5.00 per class. This is a sitting and standing class and suitable for any fitness level.

Computer Class Wed. 1. Open to anyone. Computer will be furnished.

Are you interested in learning to play the tile game Mahjong? We have someone interested in teaching a class. Call the center 715 568 1888. Leave your name, number and a short message and we'll call when a class is scheduled.
We have a large selection of all occasion cards and some speciality cards: Death of a pet, Secret Pal and Graduation. Cards at .50 and all proceeds are returned to the center.
Reservations are accepted for all occasions. $ 125.00 with a $25.00 security deposit for a full day. $ 75.00 with a $25,00 for half days. Call 715 568 1888 leave your name, number and a short message and we'll call you back. Please be aware our phone is not checked on a daily basis and we will call you back.
Eat in Dining daily at 11.45. Price is $5.50 and billed by ADRC. Menu is printed in the Bloomer Advance and a copy can be picked up at the center. You must call by 11.00 the day before to register.
Open to anyone age 60 and over.

Thank you to all that came to our Resource Fair. We had a total of 20 service organizations who explained to all that stopped at their tables what they do for to help others. We had representatives from Veterans , Public Health, Fraud , Home care, and more.
Starting on Mon. May 4th and the 1st Mon. of the following months the nursing staff from Meadowbrook will be coming to do Blood Pressures. They will be at the Senior Center from 11.15 to 11.45. No charge and eveyone is invited. Come and learn your numbers . A card will be given to help you keep a record.
We had a good turn out of 40 + people for the live music by Mr. Larry Lompa. No one sang our loud but humming was heard. He plays polkas, waltzes and two steps. Remember " Blue Skirt Waltz "?
Anyone interested in learning the tile game Mahjong? We have someone that would be interested in teaching. Get some friends together . It is played with 4 people at best but others can be included. Call the Senior Center 715 568 1888. Leave your name, number and a short message and we'll call you when we have a list of interested people.
On Monday May 18th at 12.30 we have a speaker from Chippewa Co coming to give a demonstration and talk on ground water. She will explain how what we do affects our water system. This should be helpful and go along with the letter we recieved on the toxins in the water samples. It is free and open to the public.

Remember everyone. Monday 20th at 12.30 Mr. Larry Lampa will be playing his concertina for us. Good Polkas and Waltzes. If you would like to join us for lunch that day you must call ADRC 715 579 2889 by 11 a.m. today Fri. to make your reservation. The menu for Mon. is Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Fruit, Dessert and beverages.
