WHERE ARE MY LAB PEOPLE!!!

Axel is seeking his furrrever home!!!!

Axel is a 4yo black lab, neutered, up to date on Rabies and DHPP vaccines, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, and microchipped.

Axel is lucky enough to have survived his transition from his last home. This sweet boy was rehomed from his original owners, via Facebook...uuuggghhhhh. His new family very quickly realized he just wasn't what they expected, original owners ghosted, and Axel was again needing a new home. Thankfully for Axel, his Facebook family started calling shelters far and wide without success, and then came the call to Animal Control.

Axel was evaluated, vetted, and then attended day school to assist in his transition. The best way to explain Axel, he is a guy's dog, wants to ride in your pickup, and go fishing. He is the Big Lebowski of dogs, just goes by The Dude...

Axel is a sweet boy, the goodest boy, with absolutely no body coordination. Oblivious to personal space. Loves to actually be told what to do. He NEEDS guidance and rules.

Meet Daisy!!!

This sweet girl is just 14 year and 8 months young. She is spayed, up to date on Rabies and DHPP Vaccines, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, and microchipped.

This sweet girl is full of life and s***k, we're fairly certain it's not her rallying, and she will remain a phenomenal pup for as long as she has.

Daisy came to our care as part of a cruelty case. Her family unfortunately allowed her to suffer with a ruptured mammary mass and a nasty infection running rampant. While they initially did her dirty, they were kind enough to surrender her and not have her finish her days in a shelter.

Daisy underwent a MAJOR surgery to remove an enormous mass and two smaller masses, she was spayed, and then tackled recovery like a champ.

Daisy is a fighter, had her stitches out yesterday, and healed better than a pup 1/3 her years. You would never know her age just meeting her.

The unfortunate news, Daisy's masses were carcinoma, very narrow clear margins were gotten, but as any carcinoma we just don't know.

Whether you are looking for the short term commitment, the heartwarming feeling of helping this sweet mature lady, or you just need to keep piling on to your childhood traumas and adding new topics with your therapist, we have the right dog for you.

*UPDATE*

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!

On Sunday, we picked up the below cat as a stray. He was clearly old, kept walking in large infinity pattern and large circles. He was brought back to the shelter and setup in a condo. He was immediately posted to Social Media in an attempt to locate his family. Monday morning he was again assessed. Stare was blank, mouth open, and upon standing up he walked in only circles and presented with a "weak" rear. Food and water sat in the condo untouched.

A decision was made to seek medical care and the cat was transported to Tufts for further evaluation. A few hours after arriving at Tufts, the Dr called, the cat was not doing well. Continuously walking in small circles, mouth open, and food and water not being touched on their end either.

Neurological signs, unfortunately, present very similarly in animals with rabies. Dr. recommend humane euthanasia, rabies testing, and requested we begin contact tracing.

A short while later, Murphy's family posted on Facebook, we were tagged, and we informed them of the circumstances.

Our hearts are truly broken for not just the family, but also Murphy. The situation sucks, on so many levels, and as I reflect back on the steps taken, I cannot find anything we would have done differently. Outside of transporting Murphy sooner, which likely would/could have resulted in the same outcome, but we don't know.

Murphy, even if it was his time, should have had it been in the arms of his family. His family should have been with him. But it didn't happen that way and it sucks.

We still had to proceed with Rabies testing, he unfortunately was not up to date on rabies vaccination, and there was lots of exposure.. That, Paired with his symptoms required the testing.

We have had the opportunity to sit with Murphy's family, explain the timeline, and express our condolences. Murphy's family is wonderful, even in their time of grief, they were incredibly understanding.

Murphy will be cremated and reunited with his family.

With everyone posting, LOOKING FOR A KITTEN!!!, we are happy to announce, we have 5 pairs ready to head out the door.

Yes, Pairs, is what we have currently....

Kittens learn bite inhibition and play inhibition until almost a year of age. You WILL have a better cat if you adopt a kitten with a kitten.... we do occasionally have singular Kittens, just not currently. If you want to get on our list of singular Kittens, please fill out our application and we will add you.

Our currently available Kittens are orange, black, black and white, and brown tabby.
