💕🐾 NIKKI & RIKKI: TWO SWEET GIRLS WITH PLAYTIME ON PAUSE! 🐾💕

These lovely ladies are both 3 years old and still undergoing heartworm treatment. They need about two more weeks of quiet, calm time—but try explaining that to two girls who LOVE to run and play! 😂❤️ Their hearts need rest, even if their paws have other plans!

🌸 Nikki is the more outgoing girl. She’ll climb the doggy stairs to join you in bed for snuggles, and scratches are definitely the way to her heart! 🥰

🌼 Rikki is a little more reserved and needs time to feel comfortable and let her personality shine.

Neither girl is a big fan of being picked up just yet, so patience and letting them come to you will help build their confidence. 💕

🏡 Both girls are housebroken! They’ll also use a potty pad if that’s the only option available.

For now, we’re keeping life peaceful while they finish this important part of treatment. Send Nikki and Rikki a little love—and wish us luck convincing them that resting is more fun than zoomies! 😂🐶💗

Yesterday brought us TWO unexpected little arrivals, and last night brought us approximately ZERO sleep. At this point, if you ask me a question and I answer with a puppy’s feeding schedule, just go with it. My brain has left the building. 🤣🍼

Meet our newest tiny treasures:

🍫 Thumbelina — our temporary name for this chocolate sweetheart! She is a 3-week-old little girl with possible hydrocephalus who also came to us with aspiration pneumonia. Such a tiny baby with some big hurdles, but she has us firmly wrapped around her itty-bitty paws. 💗

🍼 Our little merle baby is just 5 days old and has a cleft lip. Thankfully, there is no cleft palate, but this little one couldn’t latch onto Mom to nurse. That’s where we come in—with feeding help, loving care, and a very flexible definition of “bedtime.” A name is coming soon! 🥹💕

These two join Tic Tac, our tiny puppy with hydrocephalus, bringing us to THREE fragile special needs babies in our care. ❤️

Apparently, the puppies held a meeting and unanimously voted that sleep was unnecessary. I was not invited, and I would like to file an appeal. 😂☕ Sleepy jokes aside, these babies are very fragile right now. We’re taking things one feeding, one little milestone, and one day at a time, praying we can help each of them grow stronger. 🙏🐾

Please keep our tiny trio in your prayers… and if you see me putting my coffee in the refrigerator and my phone in the pantry, mind your business. It’s been a long night. 🤣💗

🐾 Yesterday was BUSY at Pitiful Pups! I won’t bore you with the whole play-by-play, but let’s get to the good stuff… 😍

We welcomed FOUR ridiculously cute little Chihuahuas to the rescue—two boys and two girls! Apparently, we ordered the variety pack! 😂💕 These little faces could turn anyone into a Chihuahua person!

We’ll share ages and more details once we get everyone settled. They are NOT ready for adoption yet. They just arrived, so give us a little time to get to know them and figure out what they need. 🏡🐶

And then… we took in a tiny mouse. 🐭
Okay, technically a puppy—but someone forgot to tell him he’s supposed to be bigger than a Tic Tac! 🥹💙

This precious little boy has severe hydrocephalus, and the odds are against him. Our hearts are already wrapped around this tiny fighter, and as long as he keeps fighting, we’ll be right beside him. ❤️

Please say a prayer for our little Tic Tac. 🙏 He has a big battle ahead, and he needs all the prayers and love he can get.

🐾💙 Stefan is a little gem looking for his forever home! 💙🐾

Stefan is 3 years old and weighs about 6–7 lbs. He’s a friendly, sweet little fella with so much love to give! He gets along well with other dogs and is truly a treasure. 🥰

Stefan was returned because he wasn’t completely housetrained in his adoptive home. He was potty trained in his foster home before being adopted, so a consistent routine and patient support will be especially important as he settles into another home. 🏡❤️

We recommended belly bands, but his adopter wasn’t comfortable with that option. His next family needs to be willing to use a belly band while helping him establish reliable potty habits. A new home can mean an adjustment period, and Stefan needs someone willing to work through that with him. 💕

We want his next home to be his forever home—with someone who sees his sweet heart and gives him the patience and love he deserves!
